The Galaxy Tab A11 Plus stands out as a fast budget 11 inch Android tablet with Samsung One UI, which adds productivity features beyond stock Android and comes with six years of updates. The 128GB storage and 6GB RAM configuration is described as snappy enough for normal tasks, streaming, and everyday use, and the tablet feels faster than the older A9 Plus. The $20 Walmart Cash also applied without Walmart Plus. Main concerns are the TFT display, the modest 6GB memory for long term use, and heavy Samsung bloatware and AppCloud privacy worries. A stronger 8GB version is also mentioned for longer ownership.

  • people who want a cheap 11-inch tablet for Netflix/YouTube streaming because commenters said the CPU is "trash" for heavy use but it's still "ok" for basic streaming.

  • buyers upgrading from an older Galaxy Tab A9+ case/size because one commenter said the A11+ feels faster than their A9+ and that the A9+ case fits the A11+ (same size).

  • people who care about long software support at a low price because commenters highlighted Samsung's tablet One UI productivity and said the "six years of updates" promise is unusual at this price level.

  • buyers who mainly use the tablet for normal tasks and don't expect high-end performance because one commenter said their Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 tablet with 8GB RAM feels speedy for normal tasks, and this deal is positioned as a step up from very low-spec tablets.

  • privacy- or security-focused shoppers who don't want pre-installed ad/recommendation software because multiple commenters warned about AppCloud/ironSource being deeply embedded, hard to remove, and described it as spyware/malware or a privacy risk.

  • people who want the best display for movies with deep blacks because commenters said this model uses cheaper TFT/LCD-style tech and contrasted it with OLED tablets (like Tab S4) where black levels and contrast are much better.

  • buyers who plan to keep the tablet for years and want more headroom because commenters criticized the 128GB/6GB configuration, saying it only has 6GB RAM and arguing 8GB is preferable for longevity.

  • buyers who are relying on Google Play system updates to stay current because commenters claimed Samsung may leave Google Play system services stuck on older versions, which they said can create security and app-compatibility issues.

  • people who want a tablet that's clearly better than competing budget Android options because one commenter specifically asked whether it's better than the Lenovo Idea Tab Plus around $200, implying buyers comparing alternatives may find the value/performance tradeoffs debatable.

There is nothing....

Everyone is still on the SD695 or the MT6300 or MT6400 or G99 (all about equal).

The new CPU in this tablet is about 30% faster then the ones above.

The only tablet that comes to mind which is slightly faster especially with the GPU (but for simplicity I will call them equal) is the "Alldocube Iplay 60 Mini Turbo (8.4")" but it seems this tablet is sold out world wide. It has the SD 6 Gen 1 Chip, which is better but we will call them equal to Samsung's tablet and it has UFS 3.1 while the new Samsung Tablet has the very old UFS 2.2. This alldocube tablet is the cheapest tablet in the world that does USB C to HDMI out. I personally purchased this tablet over a year ago before Trump tariffs for $140, used it daily for over a year before I purchased my Redmagic Astra Gaming Tablet (WOW, this is what a tablet should be)... but the last time I check prices it was at least $40 more. Due to the screen size I don't even know if it is a direct comparison for a 11" tablet.

The only tablets that come to mind is Google's Pixel Tablet which is faster then this tablet in every way and sells for $250 when on sale. Oneplus tablets... but they sell for more and have an aspect ratio of 5:7 (not the best if all you do is watch TV or movies, but great if you read and use apps).

There are a bunch of Lenovo high end tablets... but some of them can only be found in China and while they are all much faster and more expensive then this Samsung tablet, there is no direct comparison as of now with a Lenovo Tablet that is equal in speed to this Samsung Tablet.

Another tablet you can purcahse from China... which I recommend.

It is the next level up from Samsung's CPU, the SnapDragon 7+ Gen 3.

So many of the Alldocube tablets are the exact opposite of Samsung... that is, almost no bloatware at all, some of the cleanest google OS I have ever seen. The Alldocube 8.8" 7+Gen3 iPlay 70 Mini Ultra generally comes with a clean, close-to-stock installation of Android (14 or 15), with reports indicating little to no pre-installed bloatware. Some users may encounter minor, easily removable bloatware, such as app bookmarks or a few pre-installed apps like WPS Office.
Minimalist UI: The software experience is clean and runs on Android 14 or 15.
Included Software: The device comes with the Google Play Store and basic apps, featuring very limited, if any, non-essential pre-installed software.
Optional Content: Some, but not all, users reported minor pre-installed apps (like TikTok or WPS Office) or game bookmarks.
Performance: The clean, bloat-free OS combined with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor results in fast, smooth performance

Alldocube tablets have their own security issues it appears.

"In case you missed the news, Alldocube's "update server" was hacked, and delivered OS updates with viruses built into the OS itself.
They only published the news on their forum:

So it only affects the iplay 50 pro (released in August 2023)... it was not Alldocube, but a third party that did this. I still trust them a hell of a lot more than Samsung.

And I did not recommend that model, I recommended either the iplay 60 mini turbo or the iplay 70....

Just so everyone is aware at how GREEDY Samsung is....

We know that Google paid Samsung over $8 billion over four years (before 2023)... so figure this number is more like 12Billion Today... this is to make sure gemini, chrome and the play store are allways installed on a Samsung Android Tablet.

We know that Samsung makes a percentage of sales from any Samsung tablet that buys something from the play store.

So why would Samsung get paid tens of millions more so appcloud can install stuff on your tablet???!!! It is the Corporate GREED... And Samsung is "THE PRO" at corporate greed.

I just read about how much Samsung pays google. I was shocked. I even thought Samsung should pay google... call me cazy. This information only leaked out because of a court case... with Gemini now being installed on all android tablets, the rumors are like over 20 BILLION was paid to Samsung in 2025.

About Apple... I personally never gravitated towards apple. I don't think I have spent more then a few hours of my life on a ipad and it was the very first one which I got with my keyboard... Roland said... by this keyboard and you get a free ipad... (it was a slickdeal) I said YES... I think they were on the ipad 9 when I got my "original ipad"... I could not even use the ipad store on day one, I figured out how to install an older apple store, one where I can down load apps such as youtube and then I traded it in. That is my total ipad experiance... traded it for a fire tablet.

I am all about the best add blocker and downloading from unethical places. Right now, the best addblocker is "ublockorigin" running as an addon in Firefox... this is the same as with a PC. With this you can go to one of those thousand streaming sites and not get hit with popups. WIthout ublock origin, these sites are almost impossible to navigate. Github has the list of all those sites in one place. Github calls it "free media heck yah... FMHY" NOW you have the list.

Also, I like to tinker with Android... have not done it for a while but Youtube Vanced, paywall bypasser (now it is needed more then ever).

To those who have this device in hand (and opened, mine is sitting unopened to make sure there's not a better option coming soon) - how is video playback? How is viewing angle if you're planning to take this on a long flight and want to be able to watch movies with someone? My existing tablet is from 2018 so of course it's slow but wow the screen is so bright and crisp (Galaxy s4 tab). Thank you!

So Samsung is the one of the screen leaders in the world but they do not give you nice hardware for their "CHEAPEST" current tablet.

Let's talk about your screen... Tab S4...
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 features a high-end display for its era, headlined by its OLED technology. Here are the specific screen specifications:
Display Panel & Type

Panel Type: Super AMOLED

Screen Size: 10.5 inches

Resolution: 2560 x 1600 pixels (WQXGA)

Aspect Ratio: 16:10

Pixel Density: ~287 ppi

HDR Support: Yes (HDR10)

Brightness (Nits)

The brightness of the Tab S4 depends on whether you are using manual settings or "Auto Brightness" (High Brightness Mode) in direct sunlight:

Typical/Manual Max: Around 300–450 nits depending on the content.

Peak/Auto-Brightness: It can reach a peak of approximately 460–490 nits in bright outdoor conditions to improve visibility.

Because it is an AMOLED panel, it offers "infinite" contrast (inky blacks) because individual pixels can turn off completely, making it significantly more vibrant than the LCD panels found on many competing tablets from the same time.

OK... so what has changed with "new" high end tablets... the nits on the OLED screens are way higher (like 1,600) or the OLED screens are way brighter... higher the nits the brighter the screen. And Samsung no longer calls the screens on their tablets AMOLED... just use OLED today. Samsung of course tries to maket themselves as being better so they their new name for OLED is Dynamic AMOLED 2X... but to me it is just an OLED screen.

I KNOW THIS IS LONG... so sorry...

A11... Samsung's cheapest tablet... uses the cheapest technology...like I do not know of any other company that uses such cheap tech on their tablets. Samsung uses TFT panels... But they are almost as good as a IPS panel. But you can not compare these panels to your screen which is OLED.

Feature Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 (PLS) Standard IPS Screen (Today)
Viewing Angle ~178° ~178°
Color Consistency High (Maintains color well at angles) Very High (Slightly better for pro work)
Brightness Off-Axis Good (Better light efficiency) Solid (Can dim slightly at extreme angles)

BOTTOM LINE... if you want a new tablet that is comparable to your Tab S4... you will need to buy one of these... (and the new amount of bloat on a Samsung is REAL).

1. Tab S11 Samsung or any of the newest Tab tablets. Tab S11 ultra, tab S10+, S10 ultra, Tab S9, Tab S9+, Tab S9 ultra
2. Honor Magic Pad 2 - 12.3" (Chinese Tablet)... no where near the amount of bloatware on a Samsung but the screen is AMAZING. Only Samsung's S11 series can match the screen on the Honor Magic Pad 2 12.3".
3. ZTE Redmagic Astra Gaming Tablet... 9.06" tablet and the screen is Amazing and almost no bloatware. And again, only the Tab S11 series match the screen quality (brightness).
4. There are others but they are all Chinese versions... and I might of acidentaly left out a tablet or two. I think Hauwai makes a tablet that does 1800nits... while the Honor, Redmagic and S11 series all do about 1600nits.

The last thing I will say is... if you can afford it and if you mostly consume media you would want an OLED screen... the difference in black levels is extreme and watching a movie with perfect blacks and crazy high brightness is super cool. I personally have the ZTE Redmagic Astra Gaming Tablet - 9.06" (to me this is the closest to a perfect tablet you can get) and my kid has a Tab S9 (that I purchased on facebook market place about three years ago). As you can see with my posts... I would try to stay away from Samsung because I just don't feel their tablets will protect you properly from threats.

I responsed to why Alldocube can be considered safer then a Samsung Tablet... but the modes took down my post. So this was the justs of what I said....

A "clean" tablet like Alldocube might have fewer total updates, but when it is updated, the code is often "honest" Android Open Source Project. Samsung's updates are like a massive, 500-page legal document—they look impressive, but there's a lot of "fine print" where security patches were quietly left out because they conflicted with Samsung's brand identity or bloatware.

Will add...

There is an app that closes all background apps. This may help you continue to be able to watch shows. It is one of two apps that I have purchased in my life (hate spending money of software). The apps is called "KillApps" made by some company in Quebec. I have been using this app for many years. I find it helps with my super slow (fire tablets) tablets.

But as I said, it is the 4GB of RAM and 64GB hard drive that is limiting you the most, so you need to limit the amount of apps you have and only run one app at a time and only have one or two windows opened in Firefox.

This new tablet (today's CHEAPEST) is like twice as fast as your tablet. So yah, you have a slow tablet but a very nice screen.

You can install killapps and see if you like it or if it helps before you buy the full version... the full version will close every android system app that is not needed. I also use this software for my fastest tablets as well... I usually run it once I start the tablet up.

Another thing that should help you a lot is downloading Firefox and use the addon "ublock origin" this will definately improve your web surfing while using this tablet. Having a great pop up blocker will eliminate GB's of data from ever reaching your tablet over time. The question is... do you have space?

Also, with such little hard drive space, you may want to eliminate all your apps that you can get the same results with they web version... so I personally would delete... facebook, Disney, Prime Movies, Netflix, etc... and use www.disney.com www.netflix.com etc....

Good luck.

A11+ versions:
128GB 6GB RAM = OP
256GB 6GB RAM
256GB 8GB RAM

A better version of A11+ exists and if you plan on keeping it through 6 years of support, get 8GB version.

Based on speed... THIS SAMSUNG is faster. It is considered "one" generation faster about 30% faster.

The MT8775 is almost as fast as the SnapDragon 6 Gen 1, while the Sd 6 Gen 1 has a better GPU, the CPU's are pretty equal in speed. To put things in prespective, I purchased my Alldocube Iplay 60 Mini Turbo well over a year ago, it has the SnapDragon 6 Gen 1 CPU and I got it for $140ish before the Trump tariffs.

This tablet still has the TFT screen (big let down) and only has 6GB of RAM. Starting with Android 16 in 2026, Google has effectively established 6GB of RAM as the new minimum requirement for devices to run the "full" Android experience with Google Mobile Services (GMS).

Really, people should have 8GB of RAM if you want to keep this tablet for years to come.
30% doesn't say much because the A9 was already 30% too slow. Lol
Also, the sd gen 1 is not that great. I have a phone with that CPU.. it's barely usable to me.
