Agreed, although nonstick pans have their place, especially when making scrambled eggs, despite countless instructions on making them on stainless steel pans.

You also don't really buy nonstick stock pots...

This. Eggs are the only thing anyone should be buying nonstick pans for. Just like cast iron, stainless pots and pans can be passed down through generations, while nonstick pans only last a year of regular use. Carbon steel pans also work well for eggs (it's what was used for omeletts before the invention of Teflon), but still nowhere as well as a Teflon or ceramic nonstick pan.

Also very useful for pan frying tofu. Only two things I use mine for.

Not sure where these are made. All clad pans are made in the USA lids are made in china. Some of the T-Fals used to be made in France, at least the cheap nonstick ones.
