The TCL QM7K is a bright QD Mini LED TV that stands out for HDR, Dolby Vision support, and strong value at this price. The 144 hertz mode was reportedly fixed by a software update, and the picture is described as good for movies, sports, and gaming in brighter rooms. The main caveat is that it can feel too dim for some setups, and the screen finish is anti reflective rather than a true matte panel. Pricing and the Prime Visa cash back also appear to fluctuate, so checking other retailers first can help.
Prime Card holders who can actually find the Prime Visa bonus offer because commenters noted it's a Prime Card bonus and that they had to do some searching to locate it, then calculated the TV as about $548 after the 10% back.
people shopping for a bright-room 4K TV for HDR and Dolby Vision because commenters say the QM7K is brighter and supports Dolby Vision, making it a strong fit for vibrant, high-HDR viewing in well-lit spaces.
movie-and-sports viewers upgrading from a 1080 TV who want to use a 4K Blu-ray player because one commenter said they're upgrading from 1080 to try 4K on their 4K Blu-ray player and asked specifically which screen is better for movies and sports (no gaming).
buyers who want high refresh-rate features and are okay with a quick software update because one commenter said the 144Hz feature wasn't working correctly until a software update was pushed out that day.
people who want a matte, low-reflection screen because commenters specifically questioned whether the QM7K has matte and contrasted it with a very reflective QM6K, plus another commenter explained QM7K uses a Crystglow coating that's glossy (not true matte).
people who are counting on the 10% cash back being available right now because multiple commenters said they checked their accounts and didn't see the 10% cash back (even though they still called the deal good).
gamers choosing between this TCL and another Google TV option because one commenter said their primary use would be gaming and asked whether to pick this TV or the Hisense U7, implying they're not confident this is the best gaming pick versus alternatives.
buyers who are sensitive to brightness because one commenter said "These TCL TV's are too Dim," which is a direct negative for people who need more light output.

Read in reviews that non-costco qm6k have matte screen...
Wanted to check if qm7k amazon has matte or not... it just says anti-reflective
The Samsung S85F (OLED) offers superior contrast, perfect blacks, and better viewing angles for dark-room movie watching, while the TCL QM7K (Mini-LED) boasts higher brightness, supports Dolby Vision (which Samsung lacks), and provides excellent value, making it great for bright rooms and HDR content, though some users report color issues. Choose the S85F for cinematic quality in controlled lighting, but the QM7K for vibrant, bright HDR and budget-friendliness, understanding Samsung's OLED excels in pure picture depth.
I guess since the TCL is a couple hundred bucks cheaper, I should go with that.
While quite a bit more, I'm also considering the Samsung S90.
It was $750 not very long ago.

I know the LG screen is a little smaller but I'm upgrading either way from a 1080 tv to try out what 4K looks like on my 4K Blu-ray player.
Essentially the same price. Primary use would be for gaming.

IMHO the 55-65-75 non-pro QM6Ks that have a standard glossy screen and all the QM6K pros look dramatically better than the non-pro matte screens on the 85 and 98 non-pros. The matte film really reduces sharpness, contrast, and color when compared side by side in person.
