The TCL QM7K is a bright QD Mini LED TV that stands out for HDR, Dolby Vision support, and strong value at this price. The 144 hertz mode was reportedly fixed by a software update, and the picture is described as good for movies, sports, and gaming in brighter rooms. The main caveat is that it can feel too dim for some setups, and the screen finish is anti reflective rather than a true matte panel. Pricing and the Prime Visa cash back also appear to fluctuate, so checking other retailers first can help.

  • A software update reportedly fixed the 144Hz performance issue on the TV.

    feldman011teen

  • The TV reportedly supports Dolby Vision for HDR viewing.

    beowulf7

  • The 10% Prime Visa Card bonus reportedly can be found after searching in the offer details.

    gr3gulate

  • The TV reportedly offers higher brightness for bright rooms and HDR content.

    beowulf7

  • The 10% cash back offer reportedly was not available when checked on multiple Amazon accounts.

    SeriousHeart7239Yobogoya

  • The TV reportedly can appear too dim for some viewing conditions.

    MrProTechHD

  • The QM7K screen reportedly uses a Crystglow coating that is glossy rather than true matte.

    edekede1

  • Amazon pricing reportedly may be inaccurate because the TV was said to cost $750 not long ago.

Isn't the QM6K at Costco the same screen but 10" larger for less?

I got 65inch qm6k for about the same price as this one...
Read in reviews that non-costco qm6k have matte screen...
Wanted to check if qm7k amazon has matte or not... it just says anti-reflective
The QM6K at Costco and the QM7K use the same screen.

I'd go with this as I assume you are talking about S85F.
Yes, the Samsung S85F. I entered both models in Google and its AI said:
The Samsung S85F (OLED) offers superior contrast, perfect blacks, and better viewing angles for dark-room movie watching, while the TCL QM7K (Mini-LED) boasts higher brightness, supports Dolby Vision (which Samsung lacks), and provides excellent value, making it great for bright rooms and HDR content, though some users report color issues. Choose the S85F for cinematic quality in controlled lighting, but the QM7K for vibrant, bright HDR and budget-friendliness, understanding Samsung's OLED excels in pure picture depth.
I guess since the TCL is a couple hundred bucks cheaper, I should go with that.
While quite a bit more, I'm also considering the Samsung S90.

i am fairly confident this offer is not currently 10% cash back, checked on multiple amazon accounts. a good deal, nevertheless.
I just checked my accounts too and I'm not seeing the 10% cash back neither.

Original price was 598
It's not. Amazon is incorrect or this is the new base price while they clear all the inventory.

It was $750 not very long ago.

Which has the better screen this or the LG B5 OLED for watching movies and sports, NO GAMING.

I know the LG screen is a little smaller but I'm upgrading either way from a 1080 tv to try out what 4K looks like on my 4K Blu-ray player.
Well the main question would be what room environment. Assuming size doesn't mater...I would lean towards the LG. OLED is just the best way to enjoy movies assuming the room is not overly bright.

I could've sworn this TV has been less expensive before in the past, or am I just imagining things, lol?

Would you guys go with this TV or the Hisense U7? Both have Google as OS (which I am a big fan of).

Essentially the same price. Primary use would be for gaming.

For movies spend the extra $200 and get the larger screen LG B5 65 Inch and OLED. Wait for it to hit $800 again. I paid $900 and it's great for Dolby Vision movies.

Only the 85" and 98" non "pro" QM6K models have an actual "matte" screen, which is only beneficial if you're putting it in a room with a lot of light. All sizes of the Costco QM6K are the "pro" version that use TCL's Crystglow screen coating that's also found on all QM7K sizes. It's glossy, but technically dissipates light reflections across the screen.
IMHO the 55-65-75 non-pro QM6Ks that have a standard glossy screen and all the QM6K pros look dramatically better than the non-pro matte screens on the 85 and 98 non-pros. The matte film really reduces sharpness, contrast, and color when compared side by side in person.
