Last gen CPU, last gen GPU and you have to build it yourself. All for "only" $1500.
And potentially difficult returns.
Yeah, no. shake head

$1500 isn't bad at all for what your getting with the current AI driven inflation. I was curious what these parts would cost if you bought them individually so tried to find exact or close matches of what's in this kit and priced them out on pc part picker:
  • Intel Core i7-14700KF 3.4 GHz 20-Core Processor, $362.99
  • Corsair NAUTILUS 240 RS 74.37 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler, $89.99
  • MSI PRO Z790-P WIFI ATX LGA1700 Motherboard, $229.99
  • Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6400 CL36 Memory, $409.99
  • Corsair MP600 CORE XT R2 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive, $359.99
  • Gigabyte WINDFORCE OC GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12 GB Video Card, $899.99
  • Corsair 3500X ATX Mid Tower Case, $67.20
  • Corsair CX750M (2021) 750 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply, $59.99

Even with these older gen parts, the total I came up with when buying these separately was well over $2400 (assuming my part list was correct) and this was without adding the OS or other accessories. The only potential issue I saw was possibly needing to update the mobo's bios to get it working with the included CPU.

I mean, if this was 6 months ago I'd agree with you. But considering what the market is today and if someone absolutely needs a new PC right now, I'd say this is something to consider.
