Fixed it by replacing the caps, but Dyson basically hung up on my wife when she called asking if they were doing any good faith warranty coverage.
So yea. Be careful buying Dyson stuff if you're not skilled enough to do component level electronic repair.
Dyson's days of ridiculous prices are done. I wouldn't be surprised if they were shipping new product through eBay to stay afloat.
