I drink coffee cuz I need it to keep me working so I can feed my family and not to be homeless, picking tastes is really not something that worthy to pay attention to, feels like picking different color and style of bandages to cover the wound....
Kicking horse coffee is one of the few brands that I've had nothing but terrible experiences with (I've tried this product, three sisters blend, and their decaf). Everything I've bought from them had to be relegated to cold brew, so caveat emptor.
And while I am admittedly a bit of a coffee snob, I don't exclusively drink speciality coffees. I'm happy to drink commodity coffee… Lavazza medium roast is one of my go-tos for generic whole bean (hard to beat when it's routinely $15ish or less per kilo and 100% arabica), and when the budget is tight I've picked up Folgers, Store brand coffee, five o clock, Amazon Basics, etc… So this isn't just a matter of it not being speciality coffee. I just find this coffee is actively flawed in some way. If you're mixing in sugar syrups / creamers / flavorings / etc…you might be ok.
