Guitar Center has the Epiphone Les Paul Traditional Pro IV Limited-Edition Electric Guitar in Worn Pacific Blue for $384 with free shipping. As with most Guitar Center purchases, inspect what you receive if ordering online. They've been known to repackage display units.

This is a Guitar Center exclusive model. At this price, it's a very attractive deal for a NEW instrument from a recognized manufacturer with good quality.

The finish is matte, and the neck has a satin, open pore finish. The latter is not the most common thing for a Les Paul, but a definite win for those who prefer a satin neck. The fretboard is laurel. Pickups or Alnico Classics. Some complain about the latter, but they sound pretty good to my ears.

My own Trad Pro IV weighs 8 lb 1 oz (3.6 kg), so not at all heavy by Les Paul standards.

The specs on the page say "locking tuners," but they're just good quality non-locking Grovers on the ones I've seen.
  • Mahogany body and neck deliver balanced tone and singing sustain
  • Push-pull coil-splitting adds versatility for single-coil-like tones
  • Alnico Classic humbuckers produce warm articulate sound perfect for rock
  • Treble-bleed circuit retains clarity at lower volume levels
  • Locking tuners ensure fast tuning and long-lasting stability
  • Tune-O-Matic bridge maximizes string vibration transfer and sustain
  • Indian laurel fretboard enhances warmth and smooth playability
  • Heavy-duty toggle switch built to withstand aggressive playing
  • Smooth contours offer comfort for extended playing sessions
  • Metal barrel knobs provide precision control and reliable durability

I doubt you can do much better on price if you want a decent quality Les Paul. I got the worn ebony one in November and it's pretty great. Certainly well worth this price if you don't mind a non-traditional color.
