Is this a good deal? I think is expensive. This 2021 vs 2019 Apple Macbook Pro 16" for $350, which would be a better deal?

This has 32gb. It's a little more than the newer one and it's the pro, not the air

2019 Macbook Pro is an Intel chip -- aka it's a space heater that runs slower than the most bare-bone entry-level M1.

Source: I own both a M1 Macbook Air and a late-2019 Macbook Pro. One of which has been my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE laptop to use....and the other has been a hot piece of trash that lost 90% of its value within a year. Take a guess which is which.

And just to be crystal clear, I wouldn't pay ANY amount of money to use an Intel mac in 2026. I don't think I'd even take one if it was free.

Dang that's a great price, with upgraded ram too. I have the same one just with half the ram and the overall experience still punches above its weight after almost 5 years. If I had to replace mine I would get something faster but this is a great price for many folks.

Neither. This thing will by out of Apple upgrade support soon. For most people, just get the newest MacBook Air should be enough.

Except if you want 32GB of ram and 512GB of storage on a MacBook Air, you'll likely need to order direct from Apple (32GB is not a common configuration elsewhere) and you'll pay more than double what this costs. Also, this machine has a better display, speakers, and GPU than the latest MacBook Air. I think this specific configuration can be had for a bit cheaper sometimes (maybe sub-$700), but blindly pointing people to MBAs is not great advice, IMO.

Crazy to think this is 5 years old. Remember when M series came during covid.
