BUYER BEWARE - there's a reason the price is so low. This device (XM5) has a VERY high likelihood of the hinges failing, and the problem is well documented (run a Google search for redit posts). It's such a common issue that Sony will not honor their own warranty even when sold brand new (let alone a refurbished pair).
So, if you buy this refurbished item, make sure it has a fantastic aftermarket warranty and that you jump through all of the hoops to activate it... you're going to need it.

I had such a horrible experience when they rejected my warranty (that wasn't the bad part) but they packaged my headphones in a baggie with the prior shipping label marked with sharpie that bled onto the headphones. They started throwing so many lies saying that because of the stains, the warranty was denied. And that the stains were already there. Just lie after lie. The ear cushion is like a $10-20 item…
