I have the predecessor to this model..the identical looking DS18DBFL2 and from what I can tell the only difference is 200rpm in speed and the "reactive force control" to prevent kickback. The ft/lbs are the same.

Anyway, I was pretty unimpressed and think it might be the worst brushless drill I've ever used. Granted, I'm basing this off of an ever so slightly different product…but I can't help but feel if it were that much better they would've make it look a little less the same (my own pure speculation.

What's off about the DS18DBFL2? I have an old DSAL brushed drill that is still going strong. Considering the upgrade.
