Excellent price for a good WiFi controlled smart plug + this is model KP115 which has energy monitoring wattage use through app...good for solar or battery powered devices.
Copy/Paste:
Choose the KP115 (15amp) if you want to track energy usage, need Sense monitor integration, or want a more feature-rich device.
Choose the HS103 (12amp) for budget-friendly, simple, on/off control of lamps or small appliances.

Great smart plug. Decent price if you are looking for just one. Many people will need or want more than one, so look at the four-pack of the same plug, and it will be less per unit.

The four packs are usually the HS models not this model.
I've been waiting for this. I have the non-energy monitoring version but want at least 1 for my outside heating solution as there's no way I know if it's working or not. Not sure what I'm going to use the other 2 for, but bought them anyway, like a true SD'er.
As someone who used to have some of these switches, and a mix of others, I highly recommend anyone looking to have a large setup to consider a self-hosted solution (Home Assistant) and z-wave over wifi. There is a little bit more of a setup, but long term you will have something more reliable and robust. And the community support is fantastic.
Two pack of p115 is about same price each if you need two. Not sure the difference. Can't figure out what's happening with Kasa and tplink anymore on their devices and what app they want me to use.
i use these around the house to make dumb appliances smart through Home assistant. when my washer, dryer or dishwasher is complete home assistant shoots me a notification and announces over my alexa's depending on time of day. they've been in service for well over a year and have been great. i also have 60 of the Kasa switches in my house.
only disclaimer is tplinks privacy history. I have the TPLINK devices on their own seperate Vlan and SSID that has zero access to the internet. the Vlan is passed through to my home assistant server and stops there.

I thought that these only worked via their app/servers, are you saying the control and monitoring features can be made completely local? Thought you needed something like matter/z-wave/zigbee device to have a completely local solution. Thanks!
