No boost button according to product page and pictures on this model, so this will not start a completely dead battery. Quite a few reviews mentioned the battery does not stay charged long, as well as cheap plastic clamps. For 30 bucks you get what you pay for I guess. Project farm recommends the Gooloo GT4000 as they tested it and claim it's well-made and the battery can stay charged up to two years, it has a boost mode to start completely dead batteries, yet that is 99 bucks. Hopefully someone will post a 50% off code on that one!

I bought this last time it came up and it does so have a boost button and furthermore I've used it several times already to jump dead batteries and never once used the boost button.
Basically you don't know what you are talking about.

How are these? I've never had a small lithium battery jump starter before.

Edit: I ordered one, as this seems to be a couple of steps up from their base model for the peak amperage, and it has QC 3.0 for one USB port. The battery capacity (37WH) seems to be the same as the well regarded S8 model (that has lower peak amperage). It is half as thick (height), but a bit longer and wider than the S8 (S10 = 4.8"D x 8.5"W x 1.57"H versus S8 = 4.5"D x 7.9"W x 3.7"H. This S10 model also has QC 3.0 for one of the two USB ports (out), the S8 model doesn't have that. It has a 2 year warranty. It won't ship until Feb 4 on this model though.

Good point about the plastic clamps. But reviewers do say it has a boost button at the base of the cables. However, think I'll hold out for one with a better build, especially the clamps.

I have the Astro S8 Pro and Ultra. Both have jumped my 2007 Honda Pilot V6 without issue. Also jumped my completely dead 12v Kia EV9.

It looks like it's not shipping for a few weeks (Feb 9-11), bummer since I could use one for like the last week with sub-zero A.M.'s and a sad old battery in a sadder, older car.

I have this version and have used it successfully multiple times. The boost button is on the plug that connects to the orange body and did work on a completely dead battery.

Agreed, I had a cheapo jump starter that I kept charged every 2-3 months, when I finally needed it, it didn't have enough power to start a small SUV.I switched to a jump starter from Interstate Batteries that was on sale, seems like better quality product.

You probably have a different version like the 3000A one, this one has no Boost button at all. Go look at the actual product photos.
