I paid about the same price for the version of this that doesn't support RAID last year, only running two drives in it currently but haven't had any issues with it running and connected 24/7.

Can this work with a Mac mini via a USB-C adapter? Just for home backup and media server. Kinda NAS equivalent.

So what is the verdict on this? Is it any good? I was looking to get a couple of USB enclosures, but maybe this is better. Thoughts?

Amazon js weird with hitting enter on keyboard vs hitting their arrow beside the promo code field
Wasn't that though. First time code applied took of $40. When you apply it a 2nd time, it took off another $40 to bring it to the posted price.

Maybe ya'll should be more selective with what you save and, from time to time, go back and delete stuff you never used and never will.

I see one review on Amazon that said he got it to work but it took a bunch of Unraid configuration changes. Definitely not plug and play. Not that you can fully trust Amazon reviews but I would skip unless you get confirmation it works from somewhere else.
Using mine with Unraid now, I formatted my drives and started an array with no issues. No configuration needed.

I know we can use it as a TrueNAS expansion, but can we put TrueNAS on it?

see a "mac mini" search in the amz reviews for it. but, i'd still check it yourself. after all it has a free 30 day return option. https://www.amazon.com/product-re...d=mac+mini
