Community Reviews
This Legion 5 stands out as a strong value for a high end gaming laptop, with the Ryzen 9 9955HX, RTX 5070, 32GB of RAM, and 2TB SSD drawing praise against comparable systems that usually start much higher. The 16 inch QHD plus 165Hz OLED display and rear power and HDMI ports add to the appeal, along with the lighter non Pro chassis and convenient dock support through the USB C port with power delivery. The main tradeoffs are battery life, which is expected to be under 3 hours and can drop fast under GPU load, and a huge 400W charger that makes it less portable. It looks best as a desktop replacement with premium specs and a sharp screen.
The rear power and HDMI ports make docking and external display setup more convenient than side-mounted connections.
The laptop can support a dock through the USB-C port with power delivery for desk-style use.
The configuration pairs an extremely powerful CPU with 32GB DDR5 for demanding workloads beyond gaming.
The non-Pro chassis has been reported to avoid heat issues during benchmarking with the RTX 5070 configuration.
The included charger is a very large 400W brick that makes carrying the laptop less practical.
Battery life is expected to be under about three hours because the high-power processor uses significant power.
Battery runtime can drop to around one hour when unplugged while the GPU is working.
The RTX 5070 upgrade may deliver limited benefit if 8GB VRAM becomes the bottleneck in some games.

Also apparently the Pro 5 doesn't have a USB4 40 Gbps port? Pretty sure the non pro does which is weird.

I unplugged my Legion while the GPU was working, it instantly say 1 Hour left on the battery. (it was 100% and this is brand new machine) so bring your charging brick and mine takes 400 watts power. lol. omg.
Keep it near a power source!
