Linus Tech Tips has a good comparison of the two (models, not necessarily sizes) and it seemed to come down to preference. I believe he ultimately goes with the TCL

Having both TVs (65") both connected to Apple TVs. just get the cheaper one at the time you buy it. They barely differs one versus another PQ wise for normal non pixel peeping people. I preferred the U8QG for Dolby vision but that just a non scientific preference. Gaming was supposed to be better on the QM8K, zero difference on a PS5. we jus reached peak budget TV and that is great.

The Samsung is significantly worse than both the TCL and Hisense.
