If I'm going to microwave ramen, I'm going to break it up into little bits in the bag as I empty it into a mug. Then I'm going to add only enough water to just barely cover the top of the ramen bits and microwave it for 99 seconds. Season with 1/3 the packet, and spoon it. I've been doing this for 30 years and I turned out fine.
