At Staples - No Purchase Fee when you buy a $200 Mastercard Gift Card In Store Only (a $7.95 value) - Starts from 2/1/26-2/7/26 - Limit 9 per customer per day

Note: Staples removed the pictures from their local ad showing the fee waived. Once live, and if available this posting will be updated with staples link

In store only.

FAQ's:
- No, you cannot use Staples GC's to purchase these.
- No, these do not count towards your spend requirements for a premier membership.
- No, these do not earn you any Staples rewards.
- No, you cannot use coupons/ rewards to purchase these GC's.
- Yes, you can split payment between multiple cards (if your cashier permits it) YMMV
- The limit of 9 may or may not be enforced depending on your store/ cashier. YMMV
- Why is this a deal? Some members have CC's that earn 5% CB at office supply stores (INK and Amex Simply Cash). Others need to meet minimum CC spend.
- What if my store doesn't accept payment with a CC? Your store likely has had issues with fraud and it is managers discretion on what payment they will accept.
- Other chase cards may have special offers for Staples ($ limited). Check your chase account under chase offers.

How'd you get 7.5% with CSR? I don't see any Staples Offers on my Reserve

You can redeem points at 1.5x value if you have a CSR and on certain Chase travel purchases, boosting the 5% to 7.5%. However, the new 1.5x redemption on Chase travel applies only to certain luxury hotels or business-class flight tickets.

Just the usual point valuation of 1.5/1 that has recently changed on the reserve card and does not apply to current purchases anymore. I still have 600k pre October points. Buying travel from chase is hit and miss. Took 3 cruises last year. 2 of 3 I used chase points

Because people like that poster love CONVINCING themselves that the points are worth more than they actually are.

Yes, since it takes it as a debit card, but you need to enter the PIN, which is the last 4 digits of the card number

I don't. It all depends on the Marchant you are shopping at.

You can get even better value transferring the points to their travel partners -- usually able to get 2 cents per point redemption at a minimum. Redemptions for Hyatt is especially good.

If you have the Sapphire Reserve card, you can also get some 2 cent per point on some hotels. I stay in Vietnam recently and used my $250 hotel credit and paid the rest with points at 2 cents per point.

I guess some people also convince themselves how worthless their points are.
