this "isolate" 25g protein in 36g scoop
nutricost isolate is 30g in 35g scoop https://www.amazon.com/Nutricost-...B01HOPJAAE
ascent blend is 25g in 33g scoop https://www.costco.com/p/-/ascent.../100985271

70% protein by weight is kinda low for isolate (25g/36g serving). Do all those fillers mean it tastes good?

Also higher calorie - 140cal with 100 of those from protein, again high for isolate. But, sometimes those fillers make it taste better.

I also generally prefer sucralose to stevia - tastes better, although I realize that is an unpopular opinion around here.

This isn't an isolate for all intents and purposes, that saturated fat content defeats the purpose of getting an isolate, and it's mildly worrying that they don't list the cholesterol content even though that's a required part of the nutrition label.

I'm going to get one bag just to see if it has it on the actual basg when I get it in, as I'm curious.

Can you provide a link to the Canadian bulk protein? If buying from the US, I'm guessing there are tariffs that would apply.
https://canadianprotein.com/colle...lk-protein

When I bought, they didn't charge for the tariffs, but the whole situation isn't very stable.

I emailed them, and they said more product is getting through lately. But, like most businesses, they probably wouldn't admit otherwise even if it was true.

Calories and fat are too high for a true isolate.

In for one vanilla thanks OP was running low.

Kind of weird how vanilla has more servings despite being slightly smaller. Using different scoops too.

I've always had good experience with the Sports Research brand but for this item the Vitamin D3 seems like a dealbreaker for me. I already taken D3+K12 supplement and this has 20mcg more of D3 which might be excessive for me. I also believe the MCT (extra fat) was added for Vitamin D3 because that vitamin is fat soluble.

Yeah, I think for the meantime, I'm gonna mix it 50/50 with my real isolate to make sure I'm not giving myself too much cholesterol,it's just weird, cause that's legally required to be on the label for anything that can possibly contain cholesterol.
Funny that you think any of these go through any type of real screening lol

The Optium Nutrition from Costco is whey protien blend and not isolate like this deal.

I made no comment about health, only protein content, calorie content, and taste. Also further content about cholesterol and price.

Sucralose tastes better, an opinion, and as I mentioned, an unpopular one, but I eat what I like. Not going to live off solely broccoli, chicken, and rice. Tradeoffs are made.

dude calories and cholesterol are literally health. it's crazy to be concerned about one aspect of health and ingest sucralose.

I think you don't... Cholesterol does matter for people who's liver doesn't do a good job of removing excess cholesterol, mine for instance, where I went from over 500 combined, mostly ldl, to 173 combined in 1 year by just cutting out most sources of higher dietary cholesterol and eating more veggies. The veggies I did first and they made little impact on their own. Thanks though,I think I'll keep listening to my dietitian and Dr, considering it's their advice that actually helped lol.
Yea no your doctor is right, I don't know where people are getting this crap about dietary cholesterol being inconsequential. It's definitely not. Anyone who has taken even one nutrition science course in college knows that.
