ascent blend is 25g in 33g scoop https://www.costco.com/p/-/ascent.../100985271
Also higher calorie - 140cal with 100 of those from protein, again high for isolate. But, sometimes those fillers make it taste better.
I also generally prefer sucralose to stevia - tastes better, although I realize that is an unpopular opinion around here.
I'm going to get one bag just to see if it has it on the actual basg when I get it in, as I'm curious.

The Optium Nutrition from Costco is whey protien blend and not isolate like this deal.

A minor amount is fine for the average person, but that's a lot for an isolate.

You might think you're cheating the system by swapping sugar for Splenda, but your gut bacteria would beg to differ—if they weren't currently under siege.
While sucralose is marketed as "biologically inert" (meaning it passes through you without adding calories), current research suggests it's not exactly a neutral observer. It's more like a chaotic houseguest that crashes your digestive party, insults the host, and rearranges the furniture before leaving.
Here is the factual breakdown of the "wreckage":
The Eviction Notice: Studies, particularly in animal models and emerging human trials, indicate that sucralose can significantly lower the count of beneficial gut bacteria, specifically bifidobacteria and lactobacilli. These are the "good guys" that keep your digestion smooth and your immune system happy.
The Glucose Glitch: By altering the microbiome, sucralose may inadvertently induce glucose intolerance. Essentially, your gut gets confused and stops processing actual sugar as efficiently, which is ironic for a product designed to help you avoid blood sugar spikes.
The pH Problem: It can alter the pH balance of the intestines, creating an environment where less desirable bacteria thrive.
The Cleanup Crew: Probiotics & Prebiotics
If sucralose is the hurricane, probiotics are the contractors you hire to rebuild the house. You are absolutely right that you'll need them, but you need a strategy:
Send in the Reinforcements (Probiotics): You need to repopulate the good bacteria that were evicted. Look for multi-strain supplements or, better yet, fermented foods like sauerkraut, kimchi, or kefir.
Feed the Troops (Prebiotics): Probiotics die if they don't eat. You need specific fibers (prebiotics) found in garlic, onions, bananas, and asparagus to ensure the new bacteria actually stick around.
The Peace Treaty: The most effective move is to stop the bombardment. Taking probiotics while still consuming high amounts of sucralose is like trying to bail water out of a sinking boat without plugging the hole first.
Key takeaway, supplement companies only care about $ and not your health.

Please for the love of god, get your nutrition information from the vast majority of professionals that have been using epidemiology studies to determine population recommendations for diet. Up until 2025 that included the FDA, lol, now they still use them but only in concert with industry influences and political compromise.
