Walls in the US are made from sheetrock/drywall, but for the record, the flashpoint of paper is over 400 degrees (same melting point as tin). I'm guessing this heater doesn't output anything close to that.

There are houses in the US that still have radiators. Also hot air is not that hot to burn the wall! Stoves get significantly hotter and kitchen walls are the same as other walls in the house.
