Cybervelo EK11 is a budget fat tire e bike that stands out for strong torque, quiet operation, and surprisingly quick street speed, with real world reports of about 31.5 mph on flat ground and solid hill holding. It also has upgrade friendly hardware, including room for a rear rack, easier display swaps, and a suspension setup that can be improved with better brakes and a real rear shock. The main drawback is the battery labeling, since the 30Ah version tested at about 19Ah to 20Ah and the seller reportedly offered only a small refund. Fit can also be awkward for shorter riders, and the front light bracket may need adjustment to avoid limiting fork travel.
Tall riders who want a customizable project bike, because the frame has room for rack, shock, and display upgrades and the front fork can be corrected for better travel.
Riders who want a cheap full-suspension base for upgrades, because the stock setup is easy to swap to hydraulic brakes, a better shock, and a rear rack.
The 30Ah version has been tested at about 19.01Ah, which is effectively a 20Ah pack. The battery case also appears to be too small to fit a true 30Ah cell count, and the seller reportedly admitted it was mislabeled.
Yes. The 30Ah model has been bought for about $368 shipped using the normal sale coupon, a Wednesday weekly building discount, and a coins discount, and another buyer reported $317 shipped on the 30Ah version. The discounts can stack, and restocks may appear after midnight Pacific.
The tires arrive deflated and cold, so bead seating may need soapy water during setup. The biggest reported drawbacks are mechanical brakes, a front light bracket that can limit fork travel until repositioned, and a controller that lacks watts monitoring; common upgrades include hydraulic brakes, a better rear shock, and a rack or tail light kit.
A 5'5" rider could touch tippy toes and a 5'7" rider could get the front of the foot down, but both had difficulty swinging a leg over the seat. The seat is effectively not very adjustable, so shorter riders may find mounting awkward even if riding itself is fine.
One purchase added over $67 in extra charges beyond local taxes, described as tariff charges. That means the checkout total can be noticeably higher than the advertised sale price.
Seeing as it is approximately $150 to ship (103lbs) so $150 for a bike with a motor and battery (48v 20ah) I would argue in fact China IS PAYING the tariff and losing money or maybe breaking even on this deal. This would be an example of a company absorbing the cost Through a price reduction which our friends on the left don't seem to comprehend.
This was shipped from a local warehouse. NO TARRIFFS!!!! Look to your local socialist leaders for raising local taxes like in NYC.
You clearly don't understand how tariffs work, You are still paying for them in the increased cost of the product even if you don't see a line item on the receipt that says tariff! Good try though , thank you for playing 0 points awarded! Also I was replying to someone else not you so you read a comment that was a direct reply to someone then decided it was a 3 way conversation and chimed in with nonsense so there is that !

I got the bike for 317......don't think there's much increased prices for me...Go troll on something useful...Like the Mayor of New York. Wait that's not tax increases....it's the warmth of socialism!
Oh great I am glad Ali Express sellers never lie about certifications or specs I was worried there for a minute but you alleviated all my concerns !
If you are so terrified of ebike batteries (Yes even LG and Samsung can blow up if not maintained correctly) maybe an ebike thread is not for you. Try the bicycle or motorcycle thread.. .Scratch that...just try the bicycle threads.. motorbikes can burn your house down too!

103 ibs....maybe there is hope the 30ah battery is indeed 30ah.. mine says 115!
Now you're just rubbing it in. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Mine arrives today!
Mine arrived and I set it up! For 317 dollars it's a 20 out of 10!
Initial impressions:
1. Good torque and relatively quiet.
2. It got my 240 ib ex football player ass up to 31.5 MPH on totally FLAT ground. It will hold over 25 on all but steep inclines.
3. I got this bike cuz my E20 is a hardtail and my back feels every crack in the road....This bike rides great even with my fat ass...with 1 slight drawback. The front forks hit just a little too hard for off road use.
4. Setting up leisurely, took 45 mins... just make sure to wet your tires with soapy water at the bead to help ensure even seating.(tires come deflated...and it was cold..so deformed too)
5. The ONLY major detractor... was mechanical brakes....and I can get a set of 4 piston hydraulic for 55 on aliexpress.
6. This bike has potential to pimp out a rear rack behind the seat (the seat frame has 2 holes with threads on each side) I bet I can also fit a normal hailong under the seat for more range. I should also get a fat person adjustable shock to replace the stock one. I also have a color S866 display lying around. This controller does NOT HAVE watts monitoring function.. The only real challenge is to wire in a set of rear brake/tail/signal lights.. there is a plate under the front to hide the wires.
Overall I am VERY happy . Even if I didn't get to charge to full because it started to rain/sleet...so it cut the charge short at 53 5v to take it for a spin.
I will now charge it fully and test the battery with my atorch battery capacity tester.. and see what the real capacity is. And let you guys know. Let Me know if you have any questions.

Well...I have found a disappointment.. .The motor might be rated at 1000Watts, but the controller is so small, it's more of a 500 to 750 watt (MAYBE a 26 amp controller) My 26a controller (spare for another bike) is 125mm. My 30a controller is 150mm This controller is 130mm its power isn't labeled, but only so many mosfets can fit into something that small. it does have the 1000w cable though. But its still...a great base for a project bike! This battery charges soo slow, I have a feeling I will be lucky to get 20ah on the tester

Well, you needed not to worry, 10 hours later, the battery Capacity test is complete, and the '30ah' battery is indeed a 20ah confirmed battery.... I did not let the charger sit for a day with a green light and fully equalize, so I started with a voltage of 54v even....and I put a cutoff of 40v, so I didn't damage the battery.
I ended up with a Capacity number of 19.01ah... which given those two facts puts it at a legit 20ah battery.

I wonder what that makes the 20ah? Your bike weighed 12lbs more which the only difference was battery. Your conclusion would suggest the 20ah is not in fact 20ah either

I never meant to infer that, just that I got exited and paid extra for nothing. After seeing the size of the battery, it's not grotesquely big like those chamrider ones...I think they just scammed me. I sent them an email saying that either it's broken...or mislabled...and asked how they wanna fix it...
Also i was hoping to make you feel glad you DIDNT get scammed like me
oh!
How do YOU like it now that you got it?

>China IS PAYING the tariff
the exporter never pays a tariff… a tariff is a tax on imports, the importer (that means us) pays the tariff. This is like elementary level economics.
