My personally I would not choose this over an actual 32 inch monitor, from experience you can see the quality difference between a tv and monitor

Besides knowing the resolution, 1920 x 1080 here, the other key feature to identify is the chroma subsampling rate. For usage as a monitor you would prefer a display with no compression or subsampling, typically indicated as 4:4:4 in support documentation. I could not find such documentation for this basic monitor, which isn't surprising. Fortunately tests are easy enough to perform when you get the monitor in your hands using a site such as https://testufo.com/chroma

To see the blurry, rainbow effects that can appear when a subsampling rate is in play, check the reference page https://www.rtings.com/tv/learn/c...ubsampling

When prices dropped below $300 in 2010, I personally used a 32" LCD (with 4:4:4 subsampling) as my primary display for about 4 years until I replaced it with a dedicated 4k monitor.

I use this as a monitor sometimes but it leaves a lot to be desired. I can't fit a lot on the screen without making text super small. When things are ok sized its like 2 windows are already too much to out on the screen
