2026-02-27 Purchased 2 - Pennzoil Platinum High Mileage Full Synthetic 5W-30 Motor Oil, 5qt in-store at participating retailer Meijer for $24.99/5qt. Claim submitted using the retailer's .pdf digital receipt downloaded from my Meijer account.
2026-03-03 Received email stating claim is on hold. From email "Issue: Missing invoice number. The invoice number entered at the time of submission is not listed on your invoice/supporting documentation. Please upload a clear image of your invoice/supporting documentation that matches the invoice number listed in your claim." My response was submitting a .pdf scan of the paper receipt of the purchase. The paper receipt and retailer-provided digital receipt only differ in that the paper receipt has bar code at the bottom, while the digital receipt does not. The TC #, as expected, is the same on both versions of the receipt. Do not understand why a hold was placed on the original submission, though.
2026-03-27 Received email from [email protected] stating "Your USD 20.00 payment is ready!"
2026-03-31 Confirmed payment through link in above email. Immediately used virtual card to load $20.00 onto my Amazon gift card balance. Done till next year.

I just got my $30, took less than 3 weeks, no issues as expected. When you submit rebate they are asking to enter Invoice Number which should match your receipt. If you bought at Walmart Invoice is TC (Transaction Code). Receipt is your proof of purchase. If you had followed Promotion Terms and had entered everything correctly they should've not declined the rebate. I do not know details of your purchase (store, product etc.) but based on Pennzoil decline of all of your submissions your receipts must not show some informations required to verify rebate eligibility (participating supplier, product name, quantity, invoice number etc.).

Two submissions were approved (multiple addresses etc) and I've received the $30. Two others are being denied. All purchases through Walmart. All the receipts are completely legible. Used the TC number. "Lola" tried to claim one PDF receipt was "made up". "It's too good of quality". It's just crazy. I've been doing this through email, but will now switch to a phone call since they refuse to tell me the exact issue. They request that the "retailer email them directly is pure bull shit!

In the end I'll get my money, I know that. Crazy how they are initially approving then denying later. Been doing Pennzoil rebates for years, never had this much trouble
