It's currently the same price at all authorized dealers in the US that carry this lens (via a $200 "instant rebate"). The OM System company is in the process of clearing out remaining lenses that have the older Olympus branding.

An incredibly sharp lens and a pretty good deal if you don't already have a comparable lens. I absolutely adore this lens and it rarely comes off my GX85.
There is one on MPB in "Excellent" condition but the notes list:
"The internal optics have a small amount of moisture, but this doesn't affect functionality."
It may be a while before the secondhand market reflects these prices if they're closeout prices. But since they are technically on sale the SRP will stay as the baseline.
Do these have OIS when used with Panasonic bodies?
those have no OIS, only pro lens from olympus do, and no, they don't work with each other. you only get IBIS if you mix the brands.
that said, i think i got my copy for much cheap out from olympus outlet years ago. i do think whomever pays 480 MSRP is out of their minds. IMHO the only regular prime olympus lense that worth 500 dollars is the 75m F1.8

I don't use it as much as I should (these days it is rare I grab the "real" camera, and almost always it is to shoot with a tele zoom), but it is a great looking lens in the portrait range.
At 90mm full frame equivalent, it is close to a standard 85mm portrait length for headshots or partial body. Can get good background blurring when you open it up and decent background compression when you stop it down (e.g. you want the mountains in the background to seem bigger).
For reference, it is a little longer than the 3X lens on a iphone 15 or earlier. Shorter than the 5x on the 16 pro (which I find annoyingly a little too long--portraits get a bit too flat).

I have this lens and it's great, especially for travel since it's so small. I pretty much only use this and the 25mm 1.8 prime for 95% of the shots I take. I would seek out the used market though. I bought mine used from B&H for $180 two years ago and it was basically brand new.
