So by itself, the power station at $299 was a good deal. Are you trying to tell me the 240W panel is worth 229? Yikes. A slick deal on this bundle sits at around $380-$430 in my mind. Also that retail price is bonkers.

Really most decent brands of power stations are .40 cents per watt hour on sale all day . 200watt portable solar panels are easily $200.

Not too bad. I got a anker for $600 with 100W solar panel. This is similar specs with a better solar panel, but I do like my light bar...

Don't buy this unit. At 20% battery, it cuts output to only 400 watts. It is a "feature" to help save battery per their customer service. I want to return mine, but they charge shipping and a restocking fee since it is not defective (I think it is).
Why have a unit that can put out 2000 watts when it cuts output over 3/4 when you hit 1/5 capacity.
I bought it to use it, let me use it.
I am never buying Oupes again, which is sad because for a basic battery unit, they have some good prices, but with this design issue with the Mega 1 and them wanting to charge me almost $50 to return a $300 item, no way. I have an Oupes Exodus 1500 and wanted to buy the Oupes 1800 (asked to be able to exchange the Mega 1 for a 1800, both are same sale price), but after my experience with customer service, no more Oupes for me, and will share my poor experience with others.

I have the Oupes Exodus 1500 as well and for the $315 price I paid, I am happy with it. IMO for a basic battery backup it is better than my Delta 2 (similar output, but bigger battery) that is selling for $400 new (but saw it for ~$300 on their refurb page). But with the CS experience, would not recommend anyone to get it.
The app sucks, very basic, no real controls like the Anker, Bluetti, and Ecoflow apps. I can see the state of charge, set it to fast or slow charge (but has to be unplugged and nothing being powered, and is only fast (1400 w) or slow (700 w). No way to change charge levels (I do 100/0 anyway, so not a huge deal for me), no options for solar only charging, TOU settings.
Like I said, I think limiting the Mega 1 that is capable of doing 2000w to just 400w at 20% battery, with no mention of it in the manual or product information, and no way to even change it, is a defect. They just contacted me again this evening with a response that they will escalate it with management to see if I can get free return shipping and no restock fee.

Squeaky wheel gets the grease. I agree. The 20% thing is a defect. They are likely covering some battery management system flaw by forcing it to 400w at 20% output. I wonder if it is a recalibration thing.... I know the pecron I have that I broke into - the battery indicator is not accurate unless I reset the battery by unplugging it 100% and then fully charge 0-100 without stopping. Otherwise the battery's guess is as good as mine!

The OUPES support team is nonexistent. By far the worst I've ever experienced.

For what it's worth I bought the mega 1 and set it up yesterday for the first time. Charged it with a vevor 400w panel and ran my pellet stove for 6 hours on battery. This morning it was at 3 percent charged and unplugged from the solar panel and wall outlet (so it wasn't charging) and I had read your post yesterday so I plugged in a heat gun and it ran 740 watts for a good ten seconds before I switched the heat gun off. Maybe yours really does have a defect? I can try more tests if you want.

Appreciate you testing this, I purchased one and it would be nice to know they just got a defective unit. I'll have to test mine out.

I got 2 Oupes Exodus 2400 watt for 426 each. LOVE THEM! Don't need any more.
Gonna buy an 11,000 watt inverter generator and convert from transfer switch to main panel interlock.
