A lot of people buy units like this explicitly BECAUSE they have USB-A ports, to connect a USB-A mouse, keyboard, and maybe a flash drive or whatever else to their laptop that only has USB-C ports.
I'd be all over this if it were the one with ethernet.. I have a usb-c hub with ethernet, but it does not have sd/microsd like this one does.
I have one of these Baseus docks, with only 1 HDMI but with Ethernet. It's 1 gigabit, btw. I've been using it for a couple of years, and despite my hungry i9 MacBook Pro drawing 100W through it, it's working like new.
I use it as a hand warmer in winter - when my right hand gets cold, I grab this dock to warm it up, lol. 😁

Not to mention, most 'new' laptops have dual USB C ports. I personally never need a 3rd USB C port, USB A is where I have to add a hub for work or play. Worst case, use an adapter for USB C. If you were worried about transfer speed you wouldn't be transferring gigs of data though a hub to begin with.
