Prey and Doom Eternal alone are worth the price. Two amazing games with hours of replay value.

Community Reviews

This bundle stands out for Doom Eternal, Prey, and Black Mesa, with Prey and Doom Eternal described as worth the price on their own and Black Mesa called an all time great. Mooncrash is a welcome bonus, and Prey gets extra praise for strong replay value and smooth Steam Deck performance. The main knocks are Doom Eternal's ammo and weapon flow, plus its platforming and closed arenas, which some find less satisfying than Doom 2016. A few keys also expire in about six months, so timing matters.

Common Questions (6)

  • Yes. The PC version is described as the best way to play Prey because the console ports are reportedly choppy, and it also runs perfectly on Steam Deck. It's praised for replay value and for having deeper gameplay than its setting suggests.

  • Yes. Multiple comments say Doom Eternal alone justifies the bundle price, and it plays very differently from Doom 2016 because ammo is meant to be replenished through finishing moves rather than conserved. The tradeoff is more platforming and forced weapon-switching, which some find punishing.

    nsknudsSomnambulatorCrawlinB

  • Yes. Black Mesa is included in the bundle and is called an all-time great, making it one of the standout picks in the lineup.

    cam123JustHere4TheZipline

  • It can be, but the value drops quickly if you already own much of the lineup. One comment notes owning 3/4 of Tier 1 and OG Dark Forces, while another says many genre fans likely already have most or all of these games.

    blockheadPurpleSeed694

  • Yes. Mooncrash is included as a bonus alongside the main games, which makes the bundle more appealing if you want extra Prey content.

    atlascore

  • Yes. One comment says some of the keys expire in about 6 months, so it may be worth redeeming sooner rather than later if you buy the bundle.

It's a good looking bundle, but I have 3/4 of Tier 1 and OG Dark Forces, so I'm very much on the fence...

+1 ... This is a great deal for these great games!

Unfortunately I think most of the people who are interested in this genre most likely already have most if not all of these.

One of the few times the tier 1 games are more tempting than the tier 2 games. Two of the tier 2 games are remasters of older games (one of those even being a DOS games) and I don't know much about starship troopers.
This is tempting for Doom, Prey, and Black Mesa, so I may just get tier 1.
Bummer some of these keys expire in 6 months.
