Do yourself a favor and just get a stainless set. All these nonstick pans are cooked after a year of regular use

I have this set and enjoy it. It's quite lightweight and stacked take up the space of a large mixing bowl. I typically replace my nonstick cookware after a year or so, so if it lasts me a year I will be happy. This set would be really nice in a RV or a tiny kitchen.

PFOA free does not mean Teflon free always. PTFE free is Teflon free. Carote sets on Amazon I have seen some saying PFOA and PTFE free, while some say just PFOA free. On Carote website they confirm all their cookware is free from PFOA and PFOS free. Not PTFE free. Saying that only PFOA and PFOS are cancerous and their usage is stopped by most brands already. Teflon is not found as cancerous yet😀 while PFOA and PFOS used to make Teflon are identified as cancerous. So these guys market very nicely and don't disclose all. So in summary not all Carote sets are PTFE free as they don't explicitly declare on their website while at the same time Teflon is not considered cancerous. So You may be good with PFOA and PFOS free. Many brands already phased them out. This is just my research. I am no way expert

To add this product I did not see anywhere they are saying it's PTFE or PFAS free. Please correct if I am missing it

I got the pink set last time at a higher price, it's been 4 months, i see some scratches now. I like the sizes they offered. The only compliant that I have is the handle, often it became wobbling and you have to tighten the screw again.. but for $50? why not, bought two set to last the year..

edited: just notice this is not the same set that I purchased, which came with a handle for each of the pan...

you are absolutely correct. Their "granite-reinforced stone-derived coating" is just a fancier Teflon. Same material, same toxic stuff.

Best pans I ever bought and they are not stick and easy to clean. Honestly I haven't had the need to scrub these pans. The detachable handle is a game changer

I've owned these pans for about 2 1/2 years now and I cook in them almost daily. They are still in perfect condition. Much better than Teflon. Nothing sticks to these either.
