What are others thoughts on how well these are preseasoned? If it needs it again after you purchase it. I had to do my Lodge a few times.

Just got one, came with a lot of residue I just washed with soap and seasoned on the stove top again. Made a steak Turned out pretty nice.

I wonder if it is really pre-seasoned with flax seed. I've seasoned my own pans with flax seed and bought higher end brands pre-seasoned with flax and it never looks as black as the picture shows. It is more of a reddish brown. One tip I wish I followed with my older cast iron is to never pre-heat too fast. Heat it up on low for a few minutes before slowly adding heat. Changing the temperature too fast can cause the pan to warp and not lay flat. Looking at the pan those pour spouts don't look like they would work very well unless you pour the oil out fast. The thick rectangular edge is likely to cause the oil to drip down the back side of the pan. I have this issue with other pans. My best skillet is a stargazer and it has a flared edge that works better than the pour spots on my other pans. It is an expensive skillet but worth it for me since it is only getting better with time as the seasoning builds up.
