I don't buy keys here on Slickdeals. Sure, will activate but it's a 'grey' key. Microsoft doesn't sell their products for $12.
There's always comments or questions about why Slickdeals allows these types of things here, and it's been answered that they simply get a cut.

Source for this magical 1 month timeline? I've never had a problem with any of these keys.

And what files are you going to lose access to? At best your computer wouldn't let you open a file associated with Word, Excel, etc until you installed another program which the computer associated with those file types (plenty of free office alternatives). Even if you did have you copy of Office revoked (which isn't common unless you are using hacked programs or stolen keys then tried to update the program online), MS isn't going to nuke every .docx file on your SSD....doesn't work like that.
Typically you don't even lose access, you just lose the ability to activate a new copy of the software with that key again. I don't believe MS has ever retroactively "de-activated" an already activated copy that used a key obtained from these type of sellers.

Edit: Deleted link to MG, not sure if it's allowed
There's nothing special here, it downloads the MAS script from 2 sources, gitlab or github, and you can audit the source code of either freely. MAS Script is safe, don't be paranoid
To be fair, the software is maintained by a unknown party, who can change hands at any point (and upload something new in place of it), also what scripts it download can also be altered at any point. A large portion of malware is piggybacked on legitimate software or distributed through known safe channels. Even Google Play Store and iTunes have constant problems and they claim to vet every single thing being uploaded.

FWIW, Being skeptical of downloading random 3rd party programs isn't being paranoid, but basic computer literacy.

That being said, the software is probably safe...just not sure if "probably" is worth saving $3 per PC when all my banking info, family photos, etc is stored or accessed via the same computer. At least this deal you download Office directly from MS.

Yes it's cheap. Yes it will work. But don't buy it. Greatest advice of all time.

I don't think MS has commonly retroactively deactivated anything, that was my point. Especially not "typically" within a month, and you sure as heck don't lose access to other files if that did occur.

Yes, people still use Windows. The number is so staggering that anyone using Linux feel so inferior they shout at the top of their lungs to let others know they are running Linux. The inferiority complex is real.

Used to be the MAC user back in the 90s and the aughts. Now with the popularity of iPhones and iOS, they don't need to anymore and have joined Windows knowing where they stand.

I purchased something similar and it got deactivated within 2-3 months. Worried this will do the same; all these claim to be lifetime but I doubt that is the case.

Buyer beware.

I buy hack deals all the time, aside from one over zealous returns counter person who claimed you can't return the second item without the first it never requires any special work. The items ring up separately on the receipt with separate pro-rated return values, you can choose to return any item for said return value. You used to be able to do it without taking the time to return the item to the store by ordering the items you didn't want for shipping and then cancelling that portion of the order a few minutes later but they've made that more difficult by forcing you to use only one delivery method, one assumes that was mainly to deter resellers from ordering in bulk and just cancelling the extra items. It literally says on your receipt "return value" for each item and nowhere in the Ts and Cs or on the receipt does it say must return all items for refund. Every time bar that one, I walk in and hand them the item and give them my order number, they push a few buttons, hand me a return receipt and I'm on my way, no sneaking, no fuss.
Just because you do stuff 'all the time' doesn't make it right. That same logic could be apply to any alleged crime or fraud, including gray market keys. And please note, I'm not drawing a line here, I am just saying if we are going to pretend there is a line, don't jump back and forth over it when it suits your mood.

And the pro-rated return value is just how the receipts print EVERYTHING with a discount, that isn't a permission slip or implied consent. I get a military discount at HD, which I could abuse the crap out of if I wanted via returns without a receipt. For example, if I bought a $1000 item were I received a a 10% discount. I could then return it 2 minutes later for $1000 without a receipt, I could easily get a $100 extra store credit. Is that abuse or just a "hAcK?" "Pro-rated return value" is literally on the receipt..so Home Depot is almost begging me to do it....right???? Same horrible logic.

And "over zealous returns counter person?" You mean the person who is actually applying policy as opposed to just scanning things as quickly as possible so they can go on their break? LOL, apparently doing your job is now "over zealous" and only the lowest performing min wage employees dictate company wide policy.

FWIW, I love how everyone is just "assuming" and projecting all these reasons that Home Depot really wants them to hack all of these deals. Phrases like "She was asking for it"...."sometimes no means yes"....."if you didn't want it to happen you shouldn't have been there"....come to mind. (clear hyperbole)

Genuine website. Doubt it will be lifetime. Can be deactivated at any time and you're out the $. Don't do it.
I bought an Office 2013 license from my company's Home Use Program for $10. Been working fine for the past 12 years.

If you don't want all the bells and whistles of a full fledged downloaded Office suite, check out the free online version of Office at www.onedrive.com.

I recently installed full Office on a new laptop and noticed I had both 365 Copilot and normal Copilot running. Did not seem to cause any conflict but I uninstalled 365 as I no longer needed (or wanted to begin with) any part of that Suite.
Thank you for sharing your experience.
The full Office paid version (not this grey market variant) may be ok. Maybe I'll just uninstall it first to avoid any issues.

With the exception of Product Key Cards distributed with Certificates of Authenticity (COA's), Microsoft does not distribute products keys as standalone products. If you see a listing on an auction site, online classified ad, or other online page advertising product keys, it's a good indication that these keys are likely stolen or counterfeit.

I am also wondering about legitimacy and if, or for how long, it will work.

Anyone have experience and can speak to their products longevity with DigitalKeysBox?
I've bought similar Office keys in the past. They seem to be for OEM manufacturers. In my case, when I did a major hardware upgrade (like swapping out the GPU), it was enough to trigger the license-no-longer-valid prompt as it detected enough of a change to consider it a different machine, and put my Office install into "Demo" mode. In the past it was usually tied to a unique ID tied to the motherboard. But it seems that they have expanded the range of hardware it monitors.
In the past, re-activation worked. But my last version of Office didn't. Instead of buying a relatively new cheap key, when compared to Microsoft retail or a 365 subscription, I decided to give Libre Office a try. So far so good.
