You buy this system for the expandability. 6k batteries are reasonable at 2k and you can add up to 5 and combine 3 inverters with 5 batteries each. Best reason though is to buy from Costco as they have the v unlimited Costco return policy if something goes wrong.

Still overpriced expandable or not. I would say get what you need now as this tech is changing and the price is dropping so fast it doesnt make any sense to overpay upfront for what you might or might not use in the future. Solid state and sodium-ion batteries are coming in the next 2-3 and by then this will be yesterday's junk.

This was recently $3419 with a free 400W solar panel at Outbound Power (an authorized dealer).

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!
$1,500 was reasonable when the 30% tax credit was in effect!

I agree. After tax credit it was $2393. The industry has been subsidized enough that they're now struggling with excess capacity, not constrained supply. This is also EcoFlow's older battery technology (25% worse resistance/heat). Newer chemistries are just around the corner, which are safer and cheaper. It only makes sense that the price of this old technology goes down. If you wait a bit they'll figure that out and drop the prices.

I was not aware about this model but found that youtubers are using them to charge cybertrucks.
