Unless this is a YMMV, pricing is inaccurate. $16.99 actual.

While I can certainly appreciate the anti-knuckle busting attributes of the gloves, I can't imagine they would be overly comfortable and used by a mechanic through out the day. Anyone have any experience with them?

I have a similar pair from a different manufacturer (Gorilla, I think), and yes they are comfortable. They def. have their place, and are nice to have on hand (see what I did there), but for the DIYer they won't be your daily driver.

FWIW, I've converted three friends to Ironclad Impact [amazon.com] work gloves over the last couple years. Used a pair to help a friend move last weekend and avoided scraping/banging my knuckles on a narrow door frame multiple times. And they have protection from fingertips to the back of the hand, whereas the Dewalts have a gap in what I think is the most important part.

Not the best if you're doing really dexterous tasks, but they're the best general work gloves I've found for value: it's common for them to go on sale for <$25 (black ones are a little less than $21 right now).
