3GB RAM should give anyone who's looking for a Home Assistant dashboard pause. Should also give anyone who wants a usable device pause.

I got one of these for the same price last time this was posted. Mine arrived in new condition. Some complain about VIPOUTLET, but I have been very happy with the purchases I have made from them. I bought this to be used just for Youtube and Youtube music. I have to say with the exception of not so great sound for the music it is pretty good. I am thinking of getting another at this price.

This onn 10.1 inch tablet is best understood as a budget media and dashboard device, especially for YouTube, streaming, comic books, and simple wall mounted displays. It feels solid, can arrive in new condition, has no lock screen ads, and includes a microSD slot plus Android 14 or 15 on some units. Battery life looks decent for standby, and the screen is usable for basic video viewing, though it is only 720p and fairly dim at mid brightness. The main tradeoff is performance, since 3GB of RAM and the slower processor can feel limiting for multitasking, games, or heavier dashboards. A practical pick if expectations stay modest.

  • The tablet can work well for media consumption like YouTube and YouTube Music.

  • The tablet can be used as a stationary Ring doorbell dashboard when left plugged in.

  • The tablet can support Home Assistant dashboards for dashboard-style use cases.

    ski522

  • The tablet can deliver good standby battery life during light streaming sessions.

    sidewinder33625

  • The tablet can be rooted if you want more control over the device.

    JacobD6354

  • The tablet can feel too slow for multitasking and everyday use when RAM and storage are limited.

  • The item may arrive as used rather than open box, and some orders can be canceled.

    spgrumbyqwerty47

  • The tablet may be a poor fit for a security dashboard that needs more than just basic video feeds.

    highresjpeg

  • The tablet can have sound quality limitations for music playback.

By pause do u mean this would be good for that application or bad for that application ? I am looking for a tablet to mount on the wall for a security dashboard

I lean bad for that application, but if by security dashboard you mean just showing video feeds, it might work well. It's 720p so limited on how much you can show on screen at once, however.

6-8gb is the lowest I'd go, but for $36 maybe you can't usually expect that in a tablet.

This is a great price if you need something for the kids to watch on the car. I have a mount on a tablet for long trips. A 10" even if low resolution and 3gb ram is ok for that type of purpose
