I have a few of these switches in my house. I only had an issue with one where it would randomly turn on and I couldn't figure out why. I checked my alexa routine schedules, KASA app schedule, etc. I ended up replacing it with another kasa switch and didn't have any problems. Last time I purchased a 3 pack (march 2025) it was at $34
These only work with the Kasa app and the Kasa app only works with Kasa devices. If you have other brand devices you will need two separate apps to manage your home automation. .

Just FYI. All Kasa devices work with Tapo software. Tapo is TP-Link's Matter compatible device line (and they are pushing for that line very hard. I suspect that's why some of these sales on Kasa devices).
Here is a single Tapo smart switch: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HGW8N7R ($12.98 as of my post).
OR a 4 pack Tapo smart switches: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DHYLF7PQ ($45.32 as of right now. That is, $11.33 each).
I would recommend to get the Tapo ones. Matter compatible and that's the "future" according to TP-Link.
And most Kasa or Tapo work with Siri, Alexa, Google home etc. (You will have to check every device listing to see what it works with)
Hope that helps!
