Seems like a decent deal? 64gb RAM is a little overkill but can flip. Thoughts? No experience with Acer… let alone refurb.

64GB DDR5 RAM supports extreme multitasking and professional‑grade performance
2TB SSD provides fast system responsiveness with extensive storage capacity

key missing detail: RTX 5080. Yes, I'd say that's a pretty good deal with that RAM and that card

RTX 5080 retails around $1500 and the RAM around $600
That alone almost justifies the price

got an Acer laptop in 2019 from work, dragged around daily and in many different environments before retiring it in December 2025. Machine still going strong - in fact, just cleaned Windozer off it and added a Penguin OS. Now it serves as a backup to home desktop.
Ryzen 7 - AMD 12 cores, reasonable processor for most folks.

Need more here but didn't have time to build a new machine last year, so ended up with a CoolerMaster with i9 processor and 24 cores. Added an extra 96GB RAM - works well with several different OS on VMs. Overkill for what most people need though. Smilie

Curious what major difference is between Ryzen 7900x and 9900x.

Great price in today's market for sure. Like others have said just the GPU and RAM alone run about that list price combined.

This is also 3300 new on Acer's website.

I purchased the ultra 9 285k, 64GB and 5080 off WOOT for 2,270. I ultimately plan on gutting it and going itx with a Ryzen 3D processor. I wonder if this is a better deal? I do see the 285k sells for a lot more on eBay compared to this processor
