I have the midea U and got this hisense from Costco last year. Ended up returning it because the remote is horrible, the app isn't that great, and ended up seeing mold inside the vents after a couple of months. The midea U is so much better almost in every aspect.

It's not loud. I think it's quieter than Midea one. A lot easier to install than Midea one, too.

I also bought the HiSense from Costco last year. I liked it so much, I got a second one. Noise is fine since most of noise is sitting outside. I used the app to turn on the AC remotely before I returned home in the summer. However, you may need to figure out how to mount it. I have 5" siding so the exterior wall was not flat for the feet for the bracket.

Ok I want to buy but I have never bought anything this expensive on AliExpress. What's the deal, are these units legit, what if there are issues?
If it's shipped from the U.S. (which this is), in my experience it's the same sellers that offer the same products on Amazon, only cheaper on Ali Express. I'm guessing because of less fees. Only difference I can see is that returns may not be as easy if needed.

I have the same questions. Did you buy one?
to confirm: you replied barely 30 minutes after their comment expecting them to have valuable feedback?

Midea recalled about 1.7 million U and U+ series window air conditioners in June 2025 due to a drainage problem that causes water to pool inside, leading to mold growth and potential health risks like respiratory issues, coughing, sneezing, and allergic reactions.
Yeah was gonna say the same thing. They offered to either A) send the part needed to modify the unit, B) send a photo of the cord cut and dispose of it and they'll send you a check or C) return it back to Costco

These types of AC units are great, but collect mold that takes a good amount of time effort and skill to clean... Every season. This applies to midea and Hisense units. Hopefully future iterations will be easier to clean

I heard recently about cash advance charges on credit cards through PayPal on AliExpress and then they will not resolve them that's what I'd be worried about mostly on top of not getting the product

ive dealt with aliexpress DOA issues before and theyre always handled quickly, but those purchases were in the $20-30 range. Cant say ive ever had things break down the road past the guarantee

In for one since the $20 coupon worked and delivery alone probably costs them $50 for this thing.

Protip: A certain cashback site is offering 15% on aliexpress - won't say the one since the slickdeals mods love to give warnings so google it. IF this works this should cost me $130.9 + sales tax.

Do you live in a humid area? I live in a dry climate I'm not sure this would be an issue for me

700w? Don't most window units use double that amount of wattage?

Maybe it's similar to a heat pump sp more efficient?
