The 98 inch TCL QM6K Pro stands out as a huge, bright mini LED TV with strong black levels, good gaming performance, and a picture that looks especially impressive for the money. Costco's version adds a backlit remote and anti glare coating, and the bundle can make the online price feel comparable when mounting service is included. The main drawbacks are its extreme weight, over 115 pounds without the stand, and the glossy screen's reflection issues in rooms with lamps or other light sources. Shipping damage and cracked screens also come up, so careful unboxing matters. A big, feature rich set that works best in controlled lighting.

  • buyers who plan to use Costco's mounting/installation help because the online price can include Angi mounting service (about $199) so it can "even out" versus the in-store $1299 if you need that service.

  • gamers and movie watchers who want strong black levels and Dolby Vision performance because commenters say it has amazing black levels, plenty of brightness for Dolby Vision (with whites looking a bit muted during movies), and good gaming performance.

  • people upgrading to a much larger screen for the "wow factor" who can handle heavy TV logistics because one owner said the jump from 75 to 98 was enough to keep them very happy and they also warned that wall mounting needs a very sturdy mount due to the TV's weight.

  • buyers who can't control room lighting because reflections can be severe-one commenter returned the 98" due to "horrific" reflections in a room with only two lamps, and others report glossy HVA panel reflection issues in dark scenes.

  • buyers who are worried about damage during delivery because multiple commenters report cracked screens on arrival (including a unit that wouldn't turn on), and they advise unboxing and checking before mounting to avoid disputes.

  • buyers who don't want to deal with the physical burden of transporting and installing over 100 lb because commenters specifically call out the heavy logistics and say they wouldn't risk a 100" in their home unless the retailer arranges the return.

  • buyers who want to rely on gig-work installation for a very large, heavy TV because commenters say third-party/gig installation reviews are hit-or-miss and that for something this big you might want it done right.

A bit on the dimmer side but great picture quality! I bought the 65" version months ago and bought another one for my brother for helping me because for the money these are a really great deal.

This TV is strategically placed away in its own end cap, away from the OLEDs and the Hisense 100" mini LED but I'm actually impressed for the price. Better than Hisense's offering in warehouse (QD variant that's under their U series) from my eye test.
But the logistics of transporting and installing this behemoth over 100+ pounds (and potentially returning even with the generous return policy) is why I don't think I'll ever risk a 100" in my home unless the retailer arranges the return.

This seems like a good deal
I hear too many complaints about TCL TVs these days.

I mean it has free install and delivery. I just bought this last week for 1699. I called to get the price adjustment and they reimbursed me 200 hundred.
200 hundred? You mean 20K?

Word of warning. TCL mini-LED TVs are very heavy. This one is 115.3 lbs (52.3 kg) without the stand.

Yes, the bigger the glass, the weaker the frame to absorb the shock of shipping. Its super thin glass, so even temp cycle can cause cracking. For instance direct sun at high brightness and cold temp100-150 inch projector is way more manageable and robust for $500 4k
Where can a quality 4k projector be purchased for $500?
