The 98 inch TCL QM6K Pro stands out as a huge, bright mini LED TV with strong black levels, good gaming performance, and a picture that looks especially impressive for the money. Costco's version adds a backlit remote and anti glare coating, and the bundle can make the online price feel comparable when mounting service is included. The main drawbacks are its extreme weight, over 115 pounds without the stand, and the glossy screen's reflection issues in rooms with lamps or other light sources. Shipping damage and cracked screens also come up, so careful unboxing matters. A big, feature rich set that works best in controlled lighting.

Common Questions (5)

  • Yes. The TV is listed at 115.3 lbs without the stand, so it needs a very sturdy mount and careful handling. Its size and weight also make transport and returns difficult.

  • The glossy HVA CrystGlow panel can reflect lamps and other light sources strongly, especially in dark scenes. It performs best in controlled lighting, while the standard QM6K's matte panel handles reflections better.

  • It is reported to be plenty bright for Dolby Vision and works well for gaming, with strong black levels and good color accuracy. Whites can look a little muted in Dolby Vision, and the QM7K is brighter if you want more headroom against reflections.

  • Yes. The $1499 online price includes about $199 of Angi mounting service plus free delivery, so it can match the in-store $1299 price if you need installation. The in-store deal does not include the mount.

  • Yes. Large TCL TVs have been arriving cracked, and one reported failure traced to padding slipping under the styrofoam corner during shipping. Plug it in and check the screen before mounting so any damage is caught before installation.

Had this tv a few months now, it's awesome. I went with a much more expensive Samsung qled a couple years before and yeah the nits on the Samsung are brighter but this tv is plenty bright and if you use Dolby vision most of the time whites seem a little muted anyways during movies. This thing has amazing black levels and works great for gaming. The costco version has a better remote (back lit) and anti glare coating than the versions sold at Best Buy. If you wall mount get a very sturdy mount this tv is heavy. The extra size from 75 to 98 was enough wow factor to keep me very happy with the purchase. This is my first TCL and I own LG OLED TVs as well and the price is insane for how great these are. The warranty is great from Costco as well so buy with confidence.

Just FYI - Online price $1499 includes $199 worth of Angi mounting service with Free delivery. so its evens out in store price, if you are not slick about extra $1. Online deal is good if you need the mounting service. Mount is not included.
I'm seeing an online price of $2199?

It's that price at every Costco for this model. Use the warehouse portion of the app to verify.

Same here. Must be location dependent?

Do you like it more than your LG OLED? I'm running an LG C3 right now but going to 98" would be a huge jump in size.

Just returned this TV, needed to replace a 9yr old projector that died and figured id try this tv (98) instead. The reflections were horrific in a room with only two lamps 15 feet away.

The new models should be coming out in March. As such, I expect the 6 and 7 versions to be even more discounted come April.

I've heard people saying it's just the coating on the screen and others are saying the entire panel is the same.

Caveat, I have the 75" not this size but the QM6K Pro has a glossy panel (the HVA crystglow mentioned on the page) vs matte on the standard QM6K and the reflection handling is truly a major issue. The picture quality and color accuracy are excellent, very feature rich, figured it'd be a good fit for my office, but unless I have the lights off completely lamps will show up in any dark scene and cause light refractions all along it.
