This compact thermal shipping label printer is best for quick, low-cost label printing for returns, eBay, UPS, and USPS. Setup can be fast, with USB, CUPS, Windows, and iPhone printing working, and it can feed single labels, rolls, or fanfold stock. It also avoids ink and monthly fees, and the included labels help keep the cost low. The main caveats are occasional print-quality and barcode-scanning issues, plus some uncertainty about bundled software and stock availability. A practical little label printer if you want to skip taping labels to boxes.
Common Questions (5)
Yes, it is a practical fit for frequent returns and marketplace shipping, including Amazon returns, UPS returns, and eBay sales. It is especially handy if you print labels often and want to avoid taping paper labels or swapping paper in a laser printer.
It can print labels quickly and is easy to set up, with one user going from unopened box to a printed label in about 3 minutes. Print quality may depend on the label stock and settings: some reports mention white specks or weak black coverage, while others say adjusting darkness and speed can help.
Yes, the code works on the black unit and can be applied through the Amazon app or website. One report says it failed for another shopper, so the working path appears to be using the black model and applying the code at checkout.
Yes, it can work through USB with Linux drivers and CUPS, and it was also detected on Windows with an IPP driver and used from an iPhone via Avahi/AirPrint. It can be set up as a network printer from a mini PC or server.
It appears to work with drivers alone, but the product page did not make it clear whether additional software is required. A USB-only setup is attractive because wireless features are unnecessary for many users and avoid putting another device on the home network.

Even easier, buy 200 printable labels for $10 and you're all set: https://www.amazon.com/MFLABEL-Ad...B016CV811U

I pity the fools who stand in line at the post office to ship a package.
Buy shipping labels from pirateship.com. They offer commercial rates for UPS and USPS, so you save 50% or so off the price at the counter. You can price compare, find the best deal considering delivery time, then print the label yourself, slap it on the package, and just drop it off. Save money and avoid waiting in line.
You do need to be able to measure and weigh your package. A postage scale is a worthwhile investment.
But after that, instead of waiting in line for 30 minutes and paying $20 to ship that birthday gift to your nephew, you can pay $10, slap a label on your package, and hand it to your mailman. Every birthday. Forever.
Useful life hack if you're already investing in the ability to print shipping labels.

But I print a lot of shipping labels. And I just use my wireless inkjet printer to do it. Buy 200 labels for $10 and you're set for a while: https://www.amazon.com/MFLABEL-Ad...B016CV811U
Most people already have an inkjet or laser printer, probably wireless. Is yet another printer (that has to be connected via USB) really going to make your life better?
But again, $17 is a great deal. Not knocking it at all. Just not seeing what it would do for me that I can't already do. And I print a lot of labels.
