Oof 44 mins on a forge 12... Also seems like perfect non handheld use case for the 12. No Corded backup option is a deal breaker though

I just got this the other day and overall I like it but I was an idiot and thought this was the kind that you could get the "link" to use a remote to turn it on and off. Not the case. The holders for the main hose are abysmal though. Because it's square the hose doesn't really sit in them well. Overall decent buy if you need a cordless shop vac and the packout compatibility. If you don't care about cords I highly suggest the dewalt stealth sonic. Cheaper and insanely quiet.

Yeah I did some looking a while back and seems like you can only use link if you buy the link version up front.

Yes, as others have said this one does not include Vac Link, which auto-turns on when connected to a device (sander) that you turn on to start, let's say, sanding.
Holding out for Nexus 6G w/Vac Link myself.

I have the vac link version, very handy to turn it on/off remotely. It is a battery hog, but it definitely does get the job done. I don't have a problem with the hose, I like how there's a slot on the end to hook it on to the holders so it doesn't flop out. The caddy keeps everything there with the extensions and crevice tools and it does hold on pretty securely, though time will tell if that will hold true. The packout is a nice feature, I can put on a bin to tote around something small while I'm doing cleanup. Run this vacuum with a bag, it'll save the filter and makes cleanup much nicer at the end.

Milwaukee sells a lil box that you can plug any vacuum into it for link system.

The bags are xpnsv to be throwing away all the time, so cut the end open & sew on a zipper for ez dumping & re-use.

So just picked this up a couple hours ago. This thing sucks at sucking! Now, I had to use a 5ah battery as the one you get with this deal(6ah) was on the charger so I don't know if that would make a difference but so far hating this deal. Most gutless vacuum I've ever owned.
