DCF860 is the newest impact driver. This impact driver however isn't really that old.

The tools are fine its just the price is too high. You could get the same kit with the dcd1007 drill for this price which is a far better tool. The DCK2101QQ2 kit goes on sale for this same price, and i dont think even with the price increases, seeing it go on sale for $299 or lower again is not out of the question.

these drills arent old, just not as powerful in my field of work for drilling / running screws all day, the newer batteries are a good touch though
