One of the best ITX cases I've ever worked in. Although, I purchased this case years ago for a PC rig I built for my nephews for Xmas 2023, I was reminded of its ingenuity after performing some periodic maintenance on it this past weekend, over 2 years later, and the sheer amount of quality of life improvements that were made to this case to accommodate the user I feel definitely earns the manufacturer some kudos. From the fitment of the discrete GPU to the slick area placement of an optional 3.5" HDD, this is one solid, compact chassis which takes up just a small footprint of space and it is very dust resistant while receiving a sufficient amount of airflow even if you're only using the included case fans at a minimum (back fan appeared to be 80mm while the 1x top fan appeared to be 120mm (w/ the option of adding a 2nd fan) from what I recall). Even though I bought this chassis using a rebate which made its total cost end up being around $40, at $55, I still think it's worth every penny.
The Cooler Master NR200 is a standout Mini ITX case for compact builds, with smart fitment, strong airflow, and better thermals than most small form factor cases. It handles large graphics cards well, supports optional 3.5 inch storage, and can run high end builds like a 7800X3D with a 7900XTX or even a 5090 FE when paired with the right cooling. The main tradeoff is the tight interior, which can limit bottom fans and may require a slim top exhaust fan or a 240 to 280 millimeter AIO. It also needs an SFX power supply and a cooler under 155 millimeters, making it a capable but space conscious pick.
building a compact Mini-ITX gaming PC and wanting "quality of life" fitment (GPU clearance plus optional 3.5" HDD placement) because the NR200's design makes maintenance easier and still provides sufficient airflow even on the included fans.
owners running a high-end ITX build like a 7800X3D with a 7900XTX because the case has held up for years and still "rocks," with enough room to fit the discrete GPU without needing the optional extras.
SFF builders who are willing to use an SFX PSU and keep CPU coolers under about 155mm (or go 240-280mm AIO) because the case's chimney-style airflow and fan layout are described as not forcing compromises while still cooling well.
people pairing a side-intake AIO with flow-through GPUs because commenters say it "pairs incredibly well" with that setup and the airflow path goes right up and out.
enthusiasts planning a very high-power GPU build who will undervolt and tune thermals because one commenter reports stock max power draw is extremely high for a 750W PSU, but undervolting to a lower wattage makes it workable in this case.
builders who want to use a standard ATX power supply because the main downside called out is that you need a non-standard PSU to make the components fit.
buyers who want to run a bigger 120mm tower CPU cooler without checking clearance because depending on CPU socket placement you may need a slim top exhaust fan toward the rear to make it work.
Yes. It can fit very large graphics cards, including 7800X3D + 7900XTX and even RTX 5090 FE builds, and still maintain strong airflow. A 3-slot GPU can eliminate space for bottom fans.
Arctic P12 PWM PST fans are a common recommendation, and the slimmer P12 Slims are often used when space is tight. The case typically uses 1-2 top exhaust fans, with bottom intake fans possible when the GPU leaves enough clearance.
Yes. It is described as having chimney-style airflow with bottom intakes and top exhaust, and it can stay cool even with the included fans. It is also reported to be dust resistant while still moving enough air for high-end parts.
Yes. The case is built around an SFX PSU, and that tradeoff is what makes room for the rest of the hardware. It is the main compatibility constraint shoppers need to plan around.
It fits tower coolers under 155mm tall, or a 240-280mm AIO. If you use a larger 120mm tower cooler, a slim top exhaust fan may be needed depending on CPU socket placement.
Yep. Depending on your CPU socket placement, you might need a slim fan on the top exhaust toward the rear if you want to use a bigger 120mm tower cooler (make sure it's <155mm high).
Or... I guess, if you have a 2.5 slot graphics card but still want bottom intake fans. The 2-slot FEs are nice because you can still fit full size bottom intake fans.
Solid point! I only buy chunky 2.5 slot and 3 slot cards these days lol so looks like slim fans for me!
in for 1 to replace my loque raw s1 case. Although I love the way the raw s1 looks, I can't get over how much performance I'm leaving on the table with my 9800x3d and 4070 ti. They are always running hot.
I'm glad a lot of y'all like this case. I bought it on a whim when I received my brother's old hardware. I definitely would buy again for next build. I agree that the only down side is the non 'regular' power supply needed; but I also think that was a necessary corner to cut to get things to fit so it is what it is.

The NR200 can run high-end ITX builds for years while staying stable with a SFX PSU and appropriate cooler height.
The NR200 chassis can maintain sufficient airflow using included case fans for compact builds.
The case fitment design supports discrete GPU clearance and optional 3.5-inch HDD placement without major compromise.
The case layout can create a chimney-style airflow path that pairs well with side-intake AIO setups and flow-through GPUs.
The NR200 requires an SFX power supply, which can be a limiting tradeoff for some builders.
The case can restrict cooling options because CPU socket placement may require a slim top exhaust fan for taller tower coolers.
A 3-slot GPU can eliminate space for bottom intake fans, which may affect airflow planning.
The case can be tight enough that fan selection may need extra attention, since slim top exhaust configurations are sometimes required.

How complicated is the mod? Seems to be the only reason I can't pull the trigger.
