This Ryobi ONE plus HP 18 volt two tool kit stands out for compact, capable impact wrenches that cover most automotive jobs without jumping to full high torque. The included 1 half inch P262 is described as a favorite mid torque model, and the 3 eighths compact is praised for being lighter, easier to fit into tight spaces, and still strong enough for trail tire changes and nuts past 150 foot pounds. The 1 half inch wrench is also credited with handling stubborn Honda V6 and Tundra crankshaft bolts. The main drawback is that the deal was time limited and later returned to regular price.

  • DIY car owners who mostly work on passenger vehicles and want a lighter, more compact wrench because the 3/8" brushless compact impact wrench is what they use "99% of the time" and it can loosen/tighten nuts and bolts past 150 ft-lbs while being easier to handle than 1/2" options.

  • Jeep owners who need a compact impact wrench for trail tire changes because the compact 3/8" impact wrench they keep in a Jeep "has no let me down" when loosening/tightening tires on trails.

  • Home mechanics who already own a 1/2" high-torque impact wrench but run into fitment issues because they bought the new 1/2" compact instead since the high-torque model "won't fit in certain applications" and the compact is a better fit (even though they note the high-torque is heavy).

  • People doing tougher engine fasteners who want the 1/2" mid-torque model included because the included 1/2" impact is the P262 (described as a favorite mid-torque model) and one commenter uses it more than the high-torque version.

  • DIYers tackling stubborn crankshaft bolts who need real breakaway power because the 1/2" impact wrench removed Honda V6 crankshaft bolts that are described as "notoriously hard to remove."

  • Shoppers who specifically need the deal price to be available right now because the community notes it was "one day only" and later returned to regular price.

  • DIYers who only need to remove smaller fasteners and aren't working on heavy jobs because commenters say the high-torque impact wrench is only necessary for larger/heavier work (like crankshaft bolts, wheel bearing axle nuts, or larger trucks) and that extra torque may not be needed otherwise.

I have the 3/8s compact that live in the Jeep. Has no let me down when needing to change out tires on trails.

I already bought the Ryobi 1/2" high torque impact wrench. Do you think I still need this combo kit with the 1/2" impact wrench and the compact 3/8" impact wrench?

I might only need one impact driver. I'm thinking of keeping the 1/2-inch since I already have impact sockets for it. Does anyone know how much I would get back if I return the 3/8-inch one? Thanks.

I have the high torque as well so I decided to get the new 1/2 compact with 275lbs of torque just because in certain applications the high torque won't fit plus it's really heavy so for me the high torque and their new 1/2 compact is perfect set... here's the link.https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../332219912

I wish I could have used all of them before buying all 4 sizes of HP brushless line of impact wrenches (the HP brushless 1/2" high torque, HP brushless 1/2" model 262, HP brushless 3/8" compact, and HP brushless 1/4" impact driver) because I really only use the 3/8" brushless compact impact 99% of the time since it can easily loosen and tighen any nuts/bolts past 150 ft lbs. I don't have a need for more than 120 ft lbs of breakaway torque so the 3/8" brushless can do everything I need in a much lighter and more compact size than any 1/2" impact wrench can, and its the only thing I use to work on all of my cars. Heck, even my 1/4" HP brushless impact driver can loosen my Infiniti's 80 ft lb lug nuts. The entire HP brushless line of impact wrenches are a lot more powerful than most people think they are.

Would recommend checking out Torque Test on YT to see if these meet your needs.

This is what I hear again and again. Unless you're removing a crankshaft bolt, wheel bearing axel nuts, or work on larger trucks you probably dont ever need the high torque.

Solid deal. The 1/2" here is indeed the P262, my favorite mid torque impact. I use it a lot more than the high torque model.
