I wish I could have used all of them before buying all 4 sizes of HP brushless line of impact wrenches (the HP brushless 1/2" high torque, HP brushless 1/2" model 262, HP brushless 3/8" compact, and HP brushless 1/4" impact driver) because I really only use the 3/8" brushless compact impact 99% of the time since it can easily loosen and tighen any nuts/bolts past 150 ft lbs. I don't have a need for more than 120 ft lbs of breakaway torque so the 3/8" brushless can do everything I need in a much lighter and more compact size than any 1/2" impact wrench can, and its the only thing I use to work on all of my cars. Heck, even my 1/4" HP brushless impact driver can loosen my Infiniti's 80 ft lb lug nuts. The entire HP brushless line of impact wrenches are a lot more powerful than most people think they are.

This Ryobi ONE plus HP 18 volt two tool kit stands out for compact, capable impact wrenches that cover most automotive jobs without jumping to full high torque. The included 1 half inch P262 is described as a favorite mid torque model, and the 3 eighths compact is praised for being lighter, easier to fit into tight spaces, and still strong enough for trail tire changes and nuts past 150 foot pounds. The 1 half inch wrench is also credited with handling stubborn Honda V6 and Tundra crankshaft bolts. The main drawback is that the deal was time limited and later returned to regular price.

The 3/8-inch compact impact wrench can loosen and tighten trail tires without letting the job stall.

The kit includes the P262 1/2-inch impact wrench model number shown in product information.

The 1/2-inch impact wrench can remove Honda V6 crankshaft bolts that are described as notoriously hard to remove.
moscallmerob
The 1/2-inch impact wrench can remove a V8 4.7 Tundra crankshaft and may feel smoother than other HP brushless options.

The deal price can change quickly, with reports that it was one-day only and later returned to regular pricing.
bokoo ivan872007
The high-torque 1/2-inch model may not be necessary for smaller jobs like typical car lug nuts.
Bellmar
The advertised $159 price may not appear for some regions, with one report showing $278 in the PNW and asking about a missing coupon.
shieek
The 1/2-inch high-torque wrench may not fit certain applications, which can limit where it works compared with the compact model.

Common Questions (4)

The P262 mid-torque 1/2" wrench is often the better fit for routine work because it is lighter and fits in tighter spaces. The high-torque model is mainly needed for very large fasteners or heavy-duty truck work.
Dervi777 Bellmar BraveSummer7472
Yes. The kit includes the P262 1/2" impact wrench, which is the mid-torque model shown in the product information. It is also the more useful everyday wrench for many jobs compared with the heavier high-torque version.
nohdowt BraveSummer7472
The 3/8" compact can handle tire changes and is reported to loosen and tighten nuts and bolts past 150 ft-lbs. It is also lighter and more compact than a 1/2" wrench, making it a practical choice for car work and keeping in a vehicle.
Drumbic HeyGuysChrisFixHere
Yes. It has been used to remove Honda V6 crankshaft bolts and a V8 4.7 Tundra crankshaft, both of which are notoriously difficult. For larger jobs like crankshaft bolts, wheel bearing axle nuts, or bigger trucks, the extra torque can be useful.

The 1/2" Impact is a beast. It has taken off Honda V6 crankshaft bolts no problem for me which are notorious for being extremely hard to remove.

Just received mine today but without the battery... Is this combo and the battery separate? (I have other items I ordered together in another shipment which comes tomorrow) Hopefully it comes with the other items I ordered.

I was able to take off a v8 4.7 tundra crankshaft with the non HP non brushless Ryobi 1/2". Without it would have been a pain in the butt. I can only imagine how smooth the HP model does it all.
