When I was having panic attacks and overweight I bought this to triple check (after doctors) that all is well.
I think I paid less but I would have bought it at full price and would again.
It's very easy to use and records results for at least 2 people. I use it once a day and show my doctor the results on visits for a much more accurate to baseline as results vary a bit.
It's useful to do readings at the same time each day after sitting down and before food but should do random readings at other times if able/necessary.

I have an older model that was over $80 years ago. I trust it more than i trust my useless doctors.

If your doctor is measuring your blood pressure with a machine instead of manual, you need to find a new doctor (or at least request they take it manually). All automated bp monitors are inaccurate to varying degrees because they dont actually read a blood pressure; they collect a mean arterial pressure and use a proprietary algorithm to provide a best guesstimate of your systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
