For those ordering this, this thing flies and I'd recommend starting slow with it. My son got one for a Holiday gift. His other RC car was an Arrma Granite and it was a learning curve adjusting to the speed of this MJX. He hasn't even tried it at max yet (lot's of wet weather this winter), but even without that, this thing takes off.

Lot's of good YT video reviews for those interested.

Bought for the same price this past October. Same thing as above poster said, this thing MOVES and my son doesn't ever use it on max. We love to take this through sand traps at the local golf course and it is a blast. Its taken a decent beating thus far and no issues!

Get the 2s version if its for a kid.. 3s is fast and borderline dangerous. Also 3s(11.1v) will break parts faster so order replacement parts for failure points like the A arms and stuff. Diffs probably will go too.

2s is good enough and it'll last 10x longer. Might pick one up.. I have high end RC stuff and these little 1/16 vehicles are fun. I have a local RC track and the 1/16 truggy like this are awesome to learn with, batteries last a long time, parts are dirt cheap. I have a 1/8 buggy and stuff gets really expensive really fast.

Any opinions on the 207 vs 208 style bodies? They both look cool. This would be for driving around in grass, mulch, and maybe small jumps.

Darn. Just paid 90 for this about a month ago. Skip the research, this is the one to buy of you want reliable fun on a budget. And 3 batteries is awesome. Could drive for more than an hour just goofing around at the park.
