2s is good enough and it'll last 10x longer. Might pick one up.. I have high end RC stuff and these little 1/16 vehicles are fun. I have a local RC track and the 1/16 truggy like this are awesome to learn with, batteries last a long time, parts are dirt cheap. I have a 1/8 buggy and stuff gets really expensive really fast.
Probably a great indoor unit, but wasn't good in the grass or at the RC park.
I've been happier with 1/10th scale trucks.
