The ultra supports different and better codecs, for example a low latency one that you definitely would need for gaming, and probably would want for watching tv/movies, to have good sync between the audio and video.

I chose the original qc's over the ultras due to the lack of physical buttons and reportedly wonky gesture based controls.

great deal. if i hadnt bought 2 sets of the baseus powered by bose, i would snatch this right now. but im gonna have to wait till next black friday and hope these are on sale again then, hopefully cheaper.

Would use just on plane/gym, I got the bowes SP too material are better but think qc is more comfortable to keep.

Is the ultra more comfortable than qc?

Worth noting that Best Buy has this on clearance, meaning any open box units are deeply discounted. Got a pair a couple weeks ago for $57, still had the protective film and everything.

These sound better than the XM4's I have. I can't really tell the difference on comfort however if you fly long haul flights you still need to marry these with earbuds because you do start getting fatigue wearing them a whole day. I find also find these more intuitive to control by hand due to the buttons than the X4's.
