Replaceable DDR4 3200mhz. 2 slots. The 7420, 7430 have soldered memory but the 5000 series is user replaceable.

For those with trackpad issues on these, run dell command update. There is a firmware update to the track pad that makes it work a lot better.

Use this model at work. It's a reliable workhorse laptop. Everything has been good except the low quality touchpad.

The best course of action may be to ask the seller that question. It's always highly variable what memory configurations we've received from Dell or Lenovo in a given month.
